    NOE Lyman 311440

This has been on my "I've always wanted one" list ever since I got my first copy of the Lyman Cast Bullet Manual. By the accounts I've read, this boolit feeds flawlessly in lever guns, shoots small groups at 100 yards, and the front end of it looks like the Hammer of Thor! It reportedly likes to be driven fast, and I hear it is a sho-nuff deer killer too.

Lyman doesn't make these any more.

However, Swede Nelson has made these in the past, and he said he'd make another run of them for us!

This group buy is now closed.

Here's pictures from his last run. It was only a year ago. How did I miss it?

    Yes, that is a bore-riding 0.301" nose.

Here's the deal if you want in.

You can have your choice of diameters. Either get a 0.301" bore riding nose and 0.312" driving bands (you can call that the "American" design if you like) or make your 303 happy and well fed; get a 0.303" bore riding nose and 0.314" driving bands (you can call that the "Standard" design if you like). That's a hard or in there. If you want both diameters, you need two moulds.

You can have plain based and gas checked cavities. In the same mould! Mix and match.

You can use these with Lee Commercial handles.

You can get it with 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 cavities (aluminum) or 1, 2, or 4 cavities (brass).

You can get one of those cavities hollowpointed if you like. You get a double-ended pin so you can cast solid nosed boolits in that cavity too.

You can get it factory drilled for a temperature probe.

You get a Lyman/RCBS type matching nose punch and a bottle of Bull Plate sprue lube with your mould.

This buy is on the schedule.

The buy will be open until 2 or 3 weeks before the scheduled manufacturing date. At that time we will close the buy and send out a PM with a request for payment. Payment is not required until you get your PM requesting it.

Aluminum mould prices are as follows:

    Single cavity mould $68.00 Ea.
    Double cavity mould $72.00 Ea.
    Three cavity mould $79.00 Ea.
    Four cavity mould $85.00 Ea.
    Five cavity mould $92.00 Ea.

    Plus $10.00 Shipping/Handling.

Brass prices and other details are as follows:

Only two sizes of brass blocks are offered, 1 or 2 cavity (same block) and 4 cavity.

    The prices are as follows:

    1 cavity Brass $90.00 Ea. plus $10.00 S/H
    2 cavity Brass $94.00 Ea. plus $10.00 S/H
    4 cavity Brass $111.00 Ea. plus $10.00 S/H

    Non U. S. A. orders are a additional $10.00 Shipping/Handling.
Prices are subject to change at any time.

Aluminum moulds are machined from 2024 Aluminum
Used for high strength structural and aircraft applications.
Tensile strength range 30,000 to 63,000 psi
Sprue plate (blued), alignment pins, and hardware will be
    carbon steel.

Hollow pointing one cavity and furnishing a double
    ended pin is $35.00 Extra.

Checks, Money Orders and Pay-Pal accepted

A note about brass: Al will make brass moulds if there are 15 orders for them.

If you would prefer brass but you'd like an aluminum mould anyway, you will get a single asterisk next to your name on the list. If you are only interested in a brass mould and not an aluminum mould, you'll have a double asterisk next to your name. If we get 15 orders for brass, then brass is a "go". If we don't get there by closing time, then everyone with a single asterisk gets an aluminum mould, and everyone with a double asterisk just disappears. I will endeavor to get an early warning from Al about closing and to forward that.

Ok, so I'm in this for a 5c aluminum mould, but IF brass becomes an option I can switch over to a 4c (I don't think NOE does 5c brass) brass mold INSTEAD of the aluminum mould, right? And make mine an 'American' .301/.312 mould!

Yes, if and when brass becomes and option, you'll be switched over. Do you want a 5C brass if he makes it? (Might be heavy).

Knocked you off the #16 spot and left you the low serial number .

As to the price of brass moulds, I don't know. Copper goes up and down (in U. S. dollars anyway) and it may be up or down by the time the moulds are made. When we get close to 15 brass moulds, I'll ask Al what he thinks about brass prices. Would you like an asterisk for now?

You've got an asterisk. As of 6:00 Eastern Standard Time today (Day 1), we've got five (out of the required 15) asterisks for brass.

If he makes them, sure. I know the 4c brass moulds are not overly heavy, so the 5c can't be much worse.

I'm in for an "American" 4 cavity, GC. I prefer aluminum moulds but would take a brass one if no Al was offered.

    Thanks,
