    magma pot repait

    has any one replaced the heating elements in the 90 lb. magma pot? mine is going hot-cold hot, lead getting cold then back on. it may be the thermistate. has any one had one go bat. to early to call magma. they are 3 hr. behind me.

    i have replaced them it is easy they drive out with a hammer and rod. you can check them with a tester for continuity to see if they work if you can get to the harness what mark# pot is it? it might be bad wiring have wiggled to much you may check that.

    The pot on my Master Caster did the same thing, wired a PID temperature control and by passed the installed thermostat, all has worked well with the pot with the PID temperature control installed.

    not untill now i did a search for magma and set to sort by date this was on top and every thing else was from today. . . weird.
