Got my 'coon huntin' rifle dialed in

We're about a month out from 'coon season here. I thought I might oughta' go ahead and check the scope on my Winchester Wildcat.

Still right where I left it. That group size is 1/2 inch.

Mostly Walkers, a Black and Tan and/or a Blue Tick mixed in from time to time.

Here's an entry on a sports writer's blog and an article in the Roanoke Times about a coon hunt we took the writer on with us last season.

When he wrote the article for the sports section of the paper, he got my last name confused and listed it as Price. In the blog article, he got it right.

I'd like to invite myself down for a hunt with you and your buddies but right now too busy paying for a new engine for my wife's van. Maybe next year.

Good group,, now for that 22 handgun for the closer shots!

Good to see ya posting again.

I have always thought that Winchester Wildcat was a handsome gun. It looks even better with that group.

The Winchester Wildcat is an accurate rifle and is even better with an adjustable trigger. I took the trigger assembly off of a TOZ and replaced the Wildcat trigger group. Now I have a Wildcat the way they should have been imported in the first place. I put the Wildcat trigger on the TOZ and sold it.

I bagged more coon than most some years back in wisconsin. 400 in 4 years, in one stretch.. I carried a pistol most of the time. the ruger automatic works pretty good. the worst was a single action 22. took too long to reload it.
