An excellent read! Thanks to both georgewxxx and william iorg.
I am not in the group buy but did make a "clone" like single cavity mould. Unfortunately, I have as yet to test out the boolits. I hope to get to it shortly now that our nasty winter is about over. I have some cast, lubed and loaded just waiting for me.
On the upside, I had doubts that cast boolits would drop off that long HP pin but my mould works just fine so you guys should be good to go with MIHEC quality.
I will be looking forward to reports on terminal results with this one.

Got this from Miha last night.
Hi,
I will machine them along 22Nato molds (same blocks)
Only problem is I can only do .311 diam. for 316 cal I need different cherry. (I see only 2 molds in .316).
This will be somewhere in May.
Kind regards
Miha
Well that is a real disappointment for me.
Thank you for the PM Houseproduct.

I would take one in .311"/.300" if a place opens up in the list.
I would have preferred the gas check version but will take a plain base .316" instead if you cannot do a gas check one.

In post 57 i wrote Plain Base but on the list there's no PB.
is that a problem ?
Sorry for my late reaction...
gr jan.
+1
On post #26 I also asked for PB, but in the list mine is not PB.
I suppose no big deal here, Miha would most likely ask for a confirmation when he invoices.
Looking forward to seeing this one... it's almost woodchuck season (and one has built a labyrinth of tunnels under the garden - you never know where he will surface NEXT.)
I'm going to have to bail out of this one. Not really in the budget at this time. I am number 15 on the first posting list.
Some where between here and there.....
Hey Dan, I would be happy to take yours...
I've got 3 other Mihec moulds. Good tools.

Updated list and emailed to Miha. Hoping he can adjust.

While you buyers are waiting for your mould to show up, I want to let you know you'll need to choose your sizing nose punch carefully. Some will flair out the nose so bad they'll not likely enter the chamber when seated in the case. On the other hand, one with too much slope inward will close end up more than you want if you use too much pressure on the sizer handle. I ended up using a .38 S&W case pushed over a .30 nose punch to get a nice flat surface to work with. 99% of my "Nessie" boolits are made from straight wheel weights and are softer than you might suspect in those soft side walls. Even Linotype can be super pliable as are the thin spacer strips that were use to set up type machines that I have from an old stash I purchased years ago.

Another issue is boolit slump when fired. if you look at those pictures I took of Nessie fired in a .30-30 at 1400fps, you can see the rifling on the broken sidewalls. I feel that the slump is on reason for the boolit being so accurate. Too hard of a lead mix and it might change the character of intended use and not be quite as accurate. You'll all have a lot of fun experimenting I'm sure.

I will machine top punches, so they will fit in HP. Top punches are RCBS/ Lymann type.
So don't worry.....
Add me to the list....
