um, asking for lead free loads on a cast boolit forum?
When you live in a "lead free" hunting zone, you have to save the boolits for the range. Getting caught with lead based ammo while hunting is NOT something you want to have happen. I live in the same zone and have given up on hunting here. All of my shooting now is at paper.
Suggest you take the time you used to spend hunting and organize a challenge to that really, really stupid law.
And they say NY is bad!
sorry but I have no info for you and your request.
only suggestion I have is to grab a reloading book and try from there.
If Barnes expects you to use their products, I suspect that they can provide the data you seek!

Copper paint is your friend. I would start a writing plan to newspapers to leave whales and other carrion on the beach so that the poor Condors would have something to eat.

Try this, if you can't move out of California...

...and if you wander out into the No Man's land of Mendecino County, these load should work on anything you run across.
And dont forget that it was "Barnes" tesimony at the DFG hearings that helped sway the Vote! Barnes doesnt get any sales from me. I understand that they are supposed to look into the lead ban law again due to the way that the so called tests and data were collected.
Lead free bullets??? Blasphemy!!!
Fast is fine, but accuracy is final!
Will kill for food!

Reloading to save money I am sure the saving is going to start soon
H110/W296 is the best all around choice (IMO) for heavy jacketed bullets. You may have an issue with Barnes bullets and seating depth. I have never used their handgun bullets but with rifle bullets they tend to run long using up powder space. You may have to try a faster burning less bulky powder to get the velocity you want. Another good one, if you can find some HS7. Good luck on your hunt.

H110 is a great powder. 21 to 23 grains. Check a reload manual. You'll really like H110.
I havent used Barnes hand gun bullets in the 44 mag but ive used them in the 454 casull , 45 acp, 38 super, 9mm & 380 .
First i would go to Barnes web sight for loading info although powder selection is limited . the Barnes all copper bullet takes up more powder space than the same weight bullet in lead or jacketed . My Barnes 250 gr HP bullet for the 454 casull takes up more powder space than jacketed HP 300 gr bullets from FA, Speer, Hornday or Nosler so only use proven data !
My powders of choise would be 296 or H-110 or surplus WW820 if you have any !
