did you gents know that the lee bullet sizer and bullet feeder can be used together so that you don`t have to feed the bullets manually?

To each their own. I would be concerned the feeder isn't placing the boolit in proper alignment with the press and die. But, if it works for you that's great!

Now for the tough questions... (I always ask the tough questions):

Since it appears it mounts under the die, it would appear it could work with other presses (sans angled ones like my Herters #3)
I guess the arms that carry the boolit retract back as the press raises? Is that correct?
1. My curiosity is would it also work with my RCBS 4X4 progressive I have dedicated to pistol and specifically 45ACP?
(I use an entirely different press for sizing my boolits. So I would move it from one to the other.)
2. How does the linkage connect with the ram/shell carrier? I'm not above adding an attachment point to my presses ram. I do lots of my own R&D.

For me, it would be one less thing to manually synchronize during the reloading process.
Right now I pick up a boolit and a case as I operate my handle.
At the bottom of the ram travel (Press at rest) I seat a primer in station 2, insert the casing, and set the boolit at station 4.
Boolit lube is the problem. It gets on my fingers and gets transferred to my fresh casings. IF I had a boolit feeder, I could fill it and move along with cleaner fingers until I had to add boolits. I could see a ramp of boolits feeding the boolit tube on this critter.
I'm not sure my needs warrants it, but I do love automation that saves me steps and other draw backs.

But then... I do tend to walk around in a fog most of the time.

Yes.

No, the fingers retract when the arm goes down. At least when it's on a LEE press and working automatically. The New LEE seating dies have a bevel on the outside bottom that opens the fingers to prevent then being crushed. You can't use an old style LEE with this.

For your other questions

It use a slip rod that has Many issues. It tends to wear and doesn't keep in 'time'. One issue is the fingers raising before they fully extend. That knocks the boolit loose. that slip connection is sensitive to boolit weight as well. it May not move a heavy boolit (and hollow bases are pretty much out completely!).

I have a modified actuator that works even with hollow bases.



These are pix of the old prototype. The LEE parts on the rod can be removed.
And I made my own clamps to replace the copper washer pinch bolts, as you can see in the insert. If you remove the LEE slider parts, add an inch to the upper spring.
