    Racheting Wrench for Luber/sizer

The Chapman 1/4" racheting wrench that RCBS gave me 10 years ago or so broke so I went shopping for a new one. RCBS no longer supplies the wrench.

Ended up buying a Harbor Freight and bought an 8 piece right angle screwdriver set for $3.99 with a lifetime warranty. The item number is 92630.

They had another kit there also for a little more money but the rachet was not as smooth in operation.

The racheting mechanism on the one I bought is smooth and switchs direction with a lever. Did not have to modify it in any way so it will still function as a screwdriver and the warranty is intact.

This will work on the older RCBS luber/sizer and the Lyman brand.

Sears, At one time sold the same wrench as I have it in my box for small work. They also sell one now they call the battery post ratchet and it looks to be the same wrench.

Most air conditioning and referigeration supply stores carry them.
Used when you charge or recharge a system.

When my RCBS luber wrench gave up the ghost some years back I dug thru my toolbox for a 1/4" ratchet wrench and my grab bag of odd sockets till I found a fit to the stem on the unit. Cost to me - ZERO.Robert

"RCBS no longer supplies the wrench." Blasphamy, you can be serious! EVERYONE "in the know" know RCBS is infallible and replaces anything until the end of time, no matter how abused or old it is!

In a pig's eye they will.

Glad you found an inexpensive replacement.

gunnut, I have the a/c wrench. It is for a square, not a hex.

I did check Sears as JiminPhx said they had it. They do not carry it, at least in the store I went to.
I actually like the wrench I bought as the direction changes with a lever. Don't have to remove the wrench and flip it over. I can use it as a stubby (1") screwdriver if ever I need to, has 7 bits with it.

I had gotten both of my sizers used and the tops of the adjusting screws were worn from pliers so a normal socket would slip. could have cut the hex off, but no need with this wrench.
