The powerline to the outbuildings shorted out. I had to come up with something for heated reloading. Dad made a wooden toolbox when he was young and with his permission, I re-purposed it.

Man there's some nice benches in this thread. Figured since I'm new around here I should post mine. The backstory: when we first started house shopping my only requirement was either a full basement or a garage. We found the house we wanted but it didn't have either one so I ended up putting up an 11x14' shed which I wired and insulated and then ran some line to the propane tank and installed a propane infrared heater. This was supposed to be only for my reloading stuff and tools basically a workshop. Then life happened and the snowblower moved in because our shed was too small and decrepit, then we bought a generator and guess where that went. Anyway, here's the pics:

The presses are from right to left:

My creative solution for chemical storage is an old washing machine. Works well and I don't need to worry about leakage

That just makes me sick. Where's all the clutter, boxes scattered about, ect.? I could make that look used in about 45min.

I don't feel so bad about my gunroom/reloading room/music room anymore! I think I will be working on some shelf space for organizing all my dies/brass,powder and boolits etc. etc....I really need to tidy things up a bit. Most of you have motivated me! Thank You! Doc

Mine's getting a bit of a makeover soon too, got some steel shelving coming from a friend that's moving and got my hands on some salvage wood for shelving. Need to extend my loading bench a bit too if I can.

Yeah I saw #1204, that's a pretty nice space. Wish I had that much room to work in.

My Bunker - A lurker finally posts!

This is my Men's Crisis Center. My fly tying hobby has collided with my reloading hobby. I have been lurking for a while. Every time I was going to post a question, a little Google searching would provide the answer.

Due to my being in the military and having to move on a regular basis, I've had to adjust to keeping everything in various boxes until I need to use them, but I drew the line on maintaining my benchvise, reloading presses and lead pot. They are always mounted on the small workbench I have carried around with my household goods for the last 15 years. Recently I repainted the presses and the workbench. Now it almost looks civilized. Normally its stacked to the gills with various projects.

This summer the bench and I will finally get a permanent home when I retire!

That is an impressive man cave Jeff R.

Thanks for your service and keeping us safe, Bruce. Soon you will have space/time to get all cluttered up.

Having been going through all of posts over the last 3 days as I try to decide what to do with my basement, I have to say this is one of the more impressive setups I have seen!

I recently finished the build on a totally new reloading room in my basement. 12' X 12'....I plumbed in compressed air from my shop in the garage and I installed a vacumn system for cleaning up.....
That Harbor Freight woodworkers bench in the center of the room is EASILY the best thing I've bought for working on guns in the last 20 years! And it cost a whole $130 with discounts!
The vise and the bench dogs that come with the bench come it SO handy. And when two folks are working on a rifle it is great to be able to be on both sides of it.

My DJ Mixing area and my Reloading area ... the two best areas in my house.... (of course, both have been banished to the cold basement... but what do I care).

One thing that I see in these pictures is that some of the casting is being done in the basement. I would think the fumes from fluxing and casting would be dangerous. How do you overcome that??

Use some nice dry pine dust to flux. It smells great.
