A couple more I picked up lately. H&R 586 10" barrel 5 shot in 32 Mag. The other is a 1914 Mauser Pocket pistol.

Today at a local gunshow, I finally found a very nice S&W M30-1. I think it is in excellent condition, and doubt that it's been shot very much. I also picked up some brass and as set of dies. I'm going to start shopping for a mould to cast some semi-wadcutters. While I shop for a mould, I'll try the boolet thread to see if a member will help me out. –Ed

RCBS 32-098. Case closed. Fine wheelgun BTW!
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.

Like the 586! Been looking for one for a little while, but would like a shorter barrel. How does it shoot? Thanks, Billy

Once hunting season is over I will post results. My friend had a 4.5" barrel one at the same time but it sold before I got there. He had them one week. He put the 10" away for me.

My 1907 Savage, 1944 Walther PP, 1957 Beretta and 2 1900 FN Brownings.
Picked up here and there for $50.00 each, except for the nickel Browning which was $100.00.
Inexpensive pistols, but fun and really cheap to shoot with 78gr. round nose bullets and small doses of Bullseye.
    Regards, DaveF.

This is a 1849 Pocket Colt .31 (close to .32) made in 1861,here in Canada a lot of the .32 cal. guns are prohibited so I will have to make due with this one.

Here are my 3. The CZ-70 and Regulation Police I've had for a while. I just got the Army Special in .32-20 last week. No dies for .32-20 yet but I put an expensive box of Ultra-max through it today and it shoots pretty well. I'm going to try it with the same RCBS 32-098 that shoots so well in the S&W.

Colt Army Special .32-20 (Yes, I know the grips are wrong, but I needed something with a frame filling portion and these were handy):

Savage 1907, a very interesting design:

    BarryinIN,

How do you like the Savage 1907? I passed on an opportunity to get one a month or so ago. The design has always interested me as the Savage 1907 in .45ACP almost beat out the 1911 in the military trials.

I like it, but it's more for how it's fun to study and neat to look at than for it being better than anything. It's a very interesting and different design, but interesting and different doesn't always mean good.
It actually shot well for what it is, but the trigger took all my concentration to get it. It has a goofy trigger linkage.

For more detail, I wrote this about it:

    Thank you, sir!
I didn't mean to be rude by saying "read this", but I think you can see why that was easier than trying to summarize what I thought of it.
The thing that still gets me about this gun is the recoil. It's not like it's a wrist twister, but a steel .32 ACP as big as the Kahr 9mm in my pocket should hardly twitch when fired. It is pretty stiff. It's like it has a built-in recoil amplifier. I always read the Savage .45 ACP was a hard kicker, and I believe it now.

Of topic addendum here Barry. I have a 1917 in .380 and while it doesn't have a target trigger it's nowhere near as bad as what you described. Mine will shoot into 3-4" at 25 yards and I shot a perfect 250 on the AZ POST qual course with it a couple years ago. I used a cell phone case for a mag pouch

Hmmm, I'll try to look at another one sometime then. Mine has the heaviest SA trigger I've ever felt. It is a strange mix, actually. The travel isn't very long at all, which should be nice, but the weight causes you to feel every imperfection along the way and I'd almost swear it manages to stack a little in that short distance. Or maybe it's just that my finger gets tired, so it feels like it increases.
It's too bad, because I can tell the accuracy is there. It's just hard to get it.
I can believe it could ace a qual with even a halfway decent trigger.

On a side note: I've only had maybe three .32ACP pistols, and they were all pretty accurate in spite of shortcomings like triggers or small overall size. I've heard the .32ACP is one of those so-called "inherently accurate" cartridges, and my tiny experience seems to fit.
Maybe someday when I make a few billion and have lots of time both, I'll make up a .32 ACP target gun for testing. Maybe a .32ACP XP-100....

    ...Off topic alert...Off topic alert...

Ed Harris has done at least one rifle in 32 ACP.

Now, back to 32 caliber handguns.

Knowledge I take to my grave is wasted.

I prefer to use cartridges born before I was.

Success doesn't make me happy, being happy is what allows me to be successful.

Keeping things off topic... I have 2 rifles in 32 caliber as well... one is technically .32 long, but shoots .32 acp so well that I might as well call it a .32 ACP that will shoot .32 long.
