I hear that it isn't much of a drive, more like a long putt.

Yes, selling an old 32 WCF can be considered a mistake. However, it is one that is rectifiable and should be corrected ASAP. There are still a few of them available and once you experience the old long action of the S&W revovler, there is no turning back! The cartridge itself is not too bad to load for. You already have molds? The only thing you need are casings and dies. See?? That was easy.

The 4-1/4" I-frame is the only size I haven't had, I've had several of the 3-1/4" and 6" versions, but never have found one of the 4-1/4" ones for whatever reason.

The 6" versions look kind of funny.

I've gone to putting J-frame grips on a lot of the I-frames I get, they're a little long, and the locating pin hole needs redrilled, but otherwise, they work great. I get the "target type" that cover up a lot of the grip frame, and they do a lot to modernize the feel of the guns.

This S&W 4th model Hand Ejector in .32-20 would be my favorite. Built in 1938, it's just about 100% condition...and yep...the serial number is penciled inside the stocks. Lyman's 311008, cast from W-W, sized to 0.312", and pushed along by 4.4 gr of Winchester 231, will do an inch and a quarter at 25 yds. if I'm having a good day with my glasses. That white dot evident in the picture marks one chamber that occasionally throws one out...1/2" from the rest....but not always...go figger.

    Best Regards, Rod

I admit, when it comes to the .32's it isn't hard to classify me as a little crazy.

Here's about the last of my .32 handguns for now, who knows when I might find another...

This guy makes one post and already, I'm envious! Nice revolvers!

Oh, welcome to the madness. Pull up a chair, grab some coffee and leave those revolvers at my house.

I figured I'd take a very amatuerish photo of the whole 32 tribe. I like the 32's about as much as I like 45's.

    Starting at 1:00, going clockwise:
    1) Ruger SP101 327 Federal, 3" barrel
    2) Alan Harton/Custom Ruger 32 HRM, 3-3/4" barrel
    3) Ruger Single Six "Vaquerito" 32 HRM (the base gun for #2 above) 4-5/8" barrel
    4) Ruger Bisley Single Six 32 HRM, with fixed rear sight/target front. Unfired with box and shipper, 6-1/2" barrel
    5) Ruger Single Six 32 HRM, 4-5/8" barrel with custom walnut grips from CLC
    6) S&W 431, 32 HRM, 1-7/8" barrel.

The toes are left in purposely.... kind of an inside joke with some on other forums.

Lets be honest, that list will be more like "Guns $$ Molds $$ Dies$ Brass$ Sizers$ Punch$ Gas Checks$

Don't forget the matching long gun to go with the pistol, the one holy grail .32 (whatever that turns out to be for you) etc.

Speaking of .32 long guns, what are the options other than the Winchester 94's and Rossi 92's? I'm thinking specifically of a .32 Mag.

Marlin has made 2 short runs of their lever guns in 32 magnum, and you might find a contender barrel someplace, but other than that, any long gun will pretty much be a custom proposition, as far as I know.
