I haven't experimented with my new found use for beeswax bases/lubes for a while. I haven't had any leading for a while, but I have used for a friend who gets a bit of copper fouling once in a while.

What I did was take off any wood furniture and heated the barrel up until it was up to temp. 5-10 minutes with a heat gun at a mild temp. Then I placed a couple pea sized pieces of beeswax in the chamber and let it melt down the inside of the barrel. I kept the heat to the barrel while using a brass brush on it. Wow after a couple times it was copper free. Test it with copper remover and a white cloth, no fouling left.
Your mileage may very and be careful of nice wood furniture/bluing on expensive guns, Temp is important, the barrel has to be hot enough to melt beeswax.

Now, there maybe another way to introduce the heat and beeswax to lift leading out. It's called the beeswax boolit. Nope, just an idea for some of you to chew on.
