Need some help with Savage Axis, please!

    Hi
I need a bit of help from the guys out there that have a Savage Axis, please.
I'm still waiting for my permit to acquire my rifle, there was a stuff up and the permit had to go back and be re-printed,so I'm still waiting for it
So I have not got my rifle. argghh!
Can some one please tell me what the measurement is between the two centre screw holes, for the bases(screw holes #2 and #3) is,so I can pick up a rail for it,here in Australia and not have to import one.
I have asked numerous companies and they will not help me out,so I've come to a place I know someone can help me(i hope!)

Please,I'm just about to pull my hair out in frustration,I seem not to be able to get a straight answer from people here in Oz or the companies in the US,pretty pissed off, obviously they don't want my order.

    Thank in advance
    Cheers

I don't have the measurements as mine are locktited in. However, I use a 51 Weaver base front and a 46 Weaver base rear.

    Hope this helps.

Not sure what you have, but mine sure say "51" and "46" on the bases and on the packages they came in. I know this because I went and bought those specific ones myself.

EDIT: I think I may have understand what your dealer meant. What I have is a 2-piece base. You wanted a 1-piece?
