    5 Shooters, 5 Rifles & 1 Shot Each......

.... at 350 yards from the bench.

At our monthly benchrest match which involves 100, 200 & 300 yard IBS targets, we added a side match of one shot at a 3/4 inch dot at 350 yards. An entry fee of $1 was charged with the pot going to the shooter closest to the dot. Sighters were allowed before taking the "money" shot.

    There were two .308's, a 6.5x47, a 6mm PPC and a .223.

All 5 shots were just low or just high with the dot in the middle. The group had an extreme spread of 1.935" or .56 MOA.

It's not a world beater group by any means but I thought it interesting when the mix of shooters, guns and calibers is considered.

The winner and second place was decided by a difference of .020".

So.... How much did you win? My favorite bets are when the looser(s) by the winner a case of beer of their choosing.

That is pretty darn good. I might be able to keep mine (from a rest) inside minute of woodchuck at that distance on a calm day. Good shooting.

Here is a picture of the target. The 6-PPC edged the 6.5x47 by .020". The dot is 3/4 of an inch. The .223 hung in there with the rest of us. My shot is the lower .308 and I didn't win... darn it! The winner used a new custom 6-PPC and picked up the pot of $5. He also won the 30 shot benchrest match with a 294-7X so we'll all be gunning for him at the next match! The match is 10 shots at each distance for score at 100, 200 and 300 yards on IBS targets.
