    CZ 22 hornet

Finally got my CZ hornet and I'am well pleased love that set trigger.Tried a few rounds, it will place just about any reasonable load under an inch.I'am the weak link weaving at least a 1/2" at 100 yds.Its tough to get old, used to be rock solid on point.Had to try 50gr opened up to 3" just a little too much for 1-16. The CZ-527 variants seem to be the most reliably accurate 22 Hornets currently available. This subject came up today with Buckshot over lunch. I got the silly (but justifiable) notion to get one of the new Lyman-by-Chiappa sub-compact 1874 Sharps repros in 22 Hornet, using the excuse that might even work on Marie that I have tooling for the caliber but no rifle to shoot the end products through. (Horrors!) The CZ rifles came up next, especially the part about 2-3 CZs could be had for the likely price of the Lyman example. The CZ makes a whole lot more sense, even from that twisted perspective.

CZ is hard to beat for the money, just imagine if the 527 was a switch barrel rifle.CZ spends alot of time on their barrels, they claim machine lapped I know they look like a mirror inside. I felt a little guilty not buying american but this may be my last new, and I couldn't take a chance with outhers spotty reputation.Frank C.

Roger that. I suppose Anschutz is another option, but that's way past affordable for me. And I have yet to not be impressed with any CZ firearm I've purchased.

I own two CZ-527 rifles in .223. One is the standard barrel and the other is a varmint barrel model in a laminated stock. Both shoot very well but the prize actually goes to the standard barrel model.

At the last show I saw not one but two used CZ rifles in .22 magnum , had they been left hand rifles I likely would have taken one of them home . A hornet ? Hmmmmm , I already have a Kimber .223 left hand but hey , I bet I could still afford one ....................... who said anything about "need" ?
