    Pure Tin Like a Mirror

Running short of Linotype and my 50/50 ingots, I decided to buy some quality Linotype and tin from RotoMetals. I was quite surprised and how shiny the tin ingots were. They look like new chrome off a '55 Chevy. I melted one ingot down in small amounts to add to wheel weights and you could nearly see yourself in the puddles. I never realized pure tin was so shiny and bright. You can tell this is quality metals from RotoMetals and when you buy from them there's no question you have the best.

Liquefied tin is some of the shiniest stuff I have seen. If the sun is bright enough it is painful to look into the pot.

I have no idea if it is still the case but it usta be that window glass was made by pouring molten glass on a tray (conveyor type tray) of molten tin. Smooth surface? damnbetcha

I was always taught to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder to find any!

Μολὼν λαβέ; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [molɔ̀ːn labé], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Come and take them" is a classical expression of defiance reportedly by King Leonidas in response to the Persian army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae.

It thought it was Mercury. Shows what I know.

I cut up some Rotometals tin bars once, used bolt cutters, discovered what is meant by tin "crying". It does.
