You should be able to work up good loads in all of those. With my lot, filling the 30-06 case full then tapping them on the bench to settle the charge gives 51gr and will settle to roughly the base of the neck. I load these with surplus 150gr FMJ pulls for practice rounds in the M1. They yield roughly 2500 fps in that application. In the 8mm, I do the same with a 180gr. I don't remember the velocity right off, but the accuracy is very good. (Rivaling any load I've found for a K98).

I have 2 lots and one is considerably more dense than the other. The difference in the 30-06 case is almost 2gr when filled to the top. They seem to have the same energy by weight as velocities are within a few fps for both.

Lot 1: Rad 78L (more dense)
    Lot 2: LC85-708

    Both came from Hi-tech.

It has kind of sparked a new bit of interest in this powder as I read the posts...

I have used it in the 270, but only with a very minimal amount of testing and then with a 130 grain cast...

I would like to try it with the 280642 (155 grains)...

The 4064 data I find for that weight of boolit is from 40.3 to 47.0 grains...

The case of the 270 holds 49.5 grains of 7383 to the base of the neck...

Do you think that starting at 41 grains of 7383 and working up would be a safe number to start at?...

    Thanks...BCB
