This groove is wide enough that its not a problem.
But yes a round groove will generally drop easier.

Mr. Nelson, I hope you don't mind a few more questions.

Is that a bullet that you already have cherries for?

Would it be possible to bevel the base a little on that bullet and would that increase or decrease the weight of the bullet?

Can you do brass and aluminum molds in the same run, or do we have to agree on one or the other?

    Thanks,
    Tim

I want I want I want! I like the brass because to me it seems to hold up better over the long hall, and for me anyway here in the cold climates they hold heat better during cold casting sessions!

No this is a new design, so we would need 15 orders.

We could make it a bevel base but the weight would go up.

Brass takes different tooling than Aluminum so we would need 15 orders of both
    to do brass and aluminum.

    Hope this helps

All else fails, you could get Tom at Accuratemolds to do it. Give him a call. He'll add your design to the catalog, too.

    Thank you
That's why some of the other bullet designers
don't like to put up detailed drawings.

So, has anybody thought to do a count of "I want"s yet? I have been following this for a while and think there are pretty close to the required minimum of 15 moulds. I am not ready to commit yet, but it wouldn't take too much arm twisting to get me there. Timing is going to be key to whether or not I will be able to get in on this buy.

Aluminum or brass? Brass or aluminum?

NO preference, as long as it is an RG-4...

    I vote aluminum.

Swede, is there anyway to get a sprue plate cutter like the Lee 6 cavity molds have? I don't like having to use a mallet when I cast?

I'd be in for one of these, in brass. I like the MiHec design for the HP molds (Cramer style pins?) The more cavities, the better.

I'm fascinated with the Lyman Devastator HP design
