Thanks. It is a EJ22 and man was that thing a blast to drive afterwards. The only thing I didn't do was the wiring harness(colorblind). Had to rebuild the CVs and drivetrain a month after the install...too much throttle for 296K miles.

Spent some time with my buddy in CT riding in his 70. 091 trans & it needs another gear. He has a freeway flyer waiting to install possibly next week as he has off work. He went with a new 2.5L bottom, 2.2L SOHC single ports & some torque cams. What a blast. Would be nice to swap the 68 deluxe & I am sure I could do it with JY parts for cheap & refurbishing myself. He keeps nagging me to do it. But drum brakes would not be adequate & there would be more after that too. It has a good 1600 DP & I have enough parts to keep it going for a long time. Just can't get myself to make so many changes to it. & I do drive it a lot over the summer, & it gets many road trips as it is. If I am in a hurry or need some speed I take the 2dr Jetta. If I need a real thrill I take the H1 for a ride.

    Okoboji Museum
Lake Okoboji is a popular vacation and recreation spot in NORTHWEST IOWA, including an amusement park named Arnold’s Park.
It has some beautiful old cars in it, along with recreations of storefronts and the way Arnold’s Park looked in the ‘50s and ‘60s.
The Roof Garden was a well-known dance hall, drawing people from long distances to dance to big-name rock & roll bands.

2013 Grand Sport Corvette with all the options and A&A Supercharger installed. She puts out 670 HP at the crank and 570 at the rear wheels. Have to pay attention when I am driving it because if you mash the go petal at 40 MPH the rear tires will go up in smoke. Still averages 21 mpg around town and 27 on the highway. Sorry for the blurry photos (cell phone)

Nice, I'm always looking for another Vette. Yesteday went to Colonial Beach, VA to F&A Corvettes & looked at 2 originals, a 61 & 62 he just got in. The 62 was a 327 340hp both were nice but the 62 was a nice no. 3. Put nice paint on it & it's a great No. 2 driver/show car. But, as usual, dealers with new stuff want way to much. Come winter, if it doesn't sell, & I bet it's 10k less.

Also, looked at a nice 03, 50yr model but it wasn't a conv. so not for me; and he had a Rousch 427/550 horse Mustang. He was talking up my 96 Collectors Edition I was driving - think he was hoping I'd look to trade it on the 62!

Wife wants a "newer" one, so am looking at C5s & 6s. Sure don't want anything more than a stock HP car for her since she's been know to get a few speeding tickets. She absolutely wants one of those Burgundy ones like yours.

In 72 they started offering the H2 in 750 & became known as the "widow maker". Yea, around here it came in Kawa green and was really mean. Had big straight tube pipes, the ones I saw were more long and low than the street variety. And then Suzuki had the wankel powered 1000cc.
    Whatever!
