    HollandNut,
I like the tombstone with a blue dot. It's a shame you had to put signals on it.
    I ride a '56 chopped; got 237K on it.

    HollandNut,
Got my ‘56 in 1975 and that’s its serial number. It was given to a retiring biker leo as a gift by the town and hard times in his retirement forced him to have to sell it.

The ‘56 replaced my ‘57 I bought in ‘67. I had 1936 knuckle and I think that was the first V twin HD made. Enjoyed racing the 45” flathead trikes on the dirt and loved the tank shifters.

    Thanks for igniting some memories.

Last car project I worked on.

I made the chassis, trailer and helped on a host of other odds and ends with Jack. Then I managed to get married and moved North, so never got a chance to drive it and get in the record books.

I love all those old MoPar's!!! Time was that's what I'd have. Now I'd take the Lotus.

No Lotus but here's my couple of roadsters.

And my two "by sea" rides

Daily drive is a plain ol' Dodge pick-up.

1971 Chev 3/4 ton "Custom Camper"

A close friend needed money and I wanted his 41 year old truck.
I just brought her home tonight and gave her a well needed scrub.
She had been sitting outside for the last year, unused and never washed.

Jon, slick ol' Chevy. My oldest son's first vehicle was a 71 Chevy PU.

This is my daily driver. 1968 Chevy Malibu 2 door sports coupe. My wife's aunt bought it new and drove it untill 1979. At that time my wife was expecting our second child and our only transportation was a Kawasaki moyorcycle. She took pity on us and said I could pay her $200.00 for the car on account. ( on account we were dirt poor, bring home pay was $75.00 a week ) She did us a really big favor that I'm still grateful for. I had to promise her I would take real good care of the car , she wanted it to go to a good home.
So for the past 33 years I have been keeping my promise. I drive it every day and when something breaks I get it fixed. 6 years ago we got new paint, Fathom Blue with a white top and new pearl seat covers , just like when new. The 307 V-8 has been modified just a bit, but that was necessary to keep it on the road. ( couldn't get leaded gas any more or a new 2 barrel carb. its got a 4 bbl. now ). Transmission is a 2-speed automatic Power Glide, that transmission is factory original and never been worked on or needed any repairs. About every 5 years I drain the fluid and replace it with fresh . And it doesn't leak any fluids on the driveway like some older cars. My only problem is trying to stay out of the path of all the idiot drivers we have around here, if I can keep her out of a serious wreck we will be o.k.
The photo's show the color as almost black but it is much prettier. It is a dark metallic blue , the metallic base coat has a rainbow metallic undertone with teal , reds , greens and golds . This color is not often seen as the lighter metallic blues are more common. This paint job also has a clear coat which seems to make it appear darker. It originally had a white vinyl roof but extreme rust under it caused that option to be removed and painted instead.

I bet that would be unsettling to tow, looking back at the barrel through the rear view mirror!

Even better if you tow it barrel facing the rear. You'd NEVER have anyone tailgating you. Or driving behind you for 1/2 mile!

Well I traded the Zuk in on a new Victory and what a ride. We did 400 miles thru the Finger Lakes wine country with no fatigue what so ever. Test rode a few Ultras and settled on this. That is my old Zuk above the windshield, low and behold I didnt realize it was my last ride on her as this went home with me the same day.

I guess "the old guy" will have to let you see what old folks do with their spare time...I'll be 75 in a month and just can't get the "kid" out of my system...this thing is sort of "quick" for an old duffer... Me and "Mom" picking up a little hardware...57 half ton 3100 Chevy..."interesting motor", built with aluminum heads and twin quads and lots of goodies....5 speed TKO 500 manual with o/d and an Eaton Posi 4:10 rear...all modern underneath..we don't haul much in it.
