    ItZaLLgooD :

If my 2 turrets that arrived a few days ago ( $9.00 ea. ) are 2nd's, I can't tell it.

    Mine work smooth as silk.

    I ordered 2 more.

I got the 432-285 Lee mold from their closeout web page in the mail today. This is a 6 cavity mold that sold for $25. I turned on the Lyman pot that had WW in it and cast up about 5 OR 6 lbs. of boolits. They dropped from the mold as it was opened. Size using plain old WW was .432-.433. Took all 6 from one pour and weighed them. The heaviest was 274.0 and the lightest was 273.5.

Overall I am well pleased. The mold is probably a Ranch Dog reject. Below is a couple of photos. The boolit on the left in both pictures is the Lee second. And the other is from my RD 6 cav mold.
It feeds through my marlin 44 mag just fine and shoot just as good as the RD mold.

As you can see the reject mold has a nose that is not as curved as the RD.Also the flat part of the nose is a little bit larger.

So I guess I got lucky on this one.Although I don't know what I am going to do with it.Maybe send it out and have the gas check taken out.

    Terry,

All is well that ends well.
    That's great.
Glad it worked out well for you.
    .432 - .433 are some good numbers for a .44 mold.

That's to bad me not being able to get those 2 moulds from you ,I have an sks just as described . That little .305 would have PP'd great. The other would have been near perfect neekid.

I hit them from time to time I just never seem to find that 1.

Ben, sounds like the close-out is a pile of pony poop.

    6.5 mike :

It is a gamble at best. I sent my molds back and got a pair of 4 hole Lee Classic Turrets, $9.00 each, in their place - - along with a credit.

That's fine with me. At least Lee stands behind their closeout products.

I ordered 4 of the round ball molds (@ $10. ea) and the order was confirmed. Next day I got notices that 3 of them were sold out before my order got pulled. I got 2 refunds to my CC.
Those over sized molds would have worked fine for swaging cores. I too wish you had put them up for Swap or Trade. They would have been just the ticket for experimenting.
Never been dissatisfied with Lee products or service. Of course I don't expect bench rest boolits from a $10. mold.
