Let me see if I have a set of 338s in stock. I think I just might.

Cost would be $475 for the two die set and $100 per sizing die if you wished to use somthing like .223rem brass for jackets. Probably take two sizing dies to do it right. S&H is $10 and I would estamate my current work load and delivery schedule at 2-3 months for the .338 if I got it in stock. Could be sooner or could be a little longer if I had to machine one. Wait time is simply do to number of current orders I have yet to fill.

Give me a few days to check inventory, If you don't hear back from me send me friendly reminder PM

    Thanks

I haven't tryed it yet but I would say yes. Would require the Copper tubing jacket die as well.

Might also be able to use 5/16" ?

Sorry I'm behind on my PMs. Good place to get a hold of me in this thread too.

Yes the RCBS RC will work perfect for 22 cal production with my dies.

I am constantly impressing myself with the quality of these 22 cal dies. Just this evening I perfected the core swage die and it looks perfect. My plan is to make 10 complete sets, more if time allows, and send to heat treat with my next batch of dies. I will be happy to take orders and plan to fill those orders just as soon as I can.

This complete package I will have to offer looks and functions perfect. You get 4 dies and my auto ejection system for $800 with free shipping. Averaged out that is a pretty fair price I think considering all the tooling you will get.

For the initial offered price of $800 to your door my complete kit includes

    derim die
    core swage die
    core seat die
    point form die
    auto ejection system
and all the extras you need to get started

Everything you need to make perfect 22 cal bullets from 22lr brass using any decent reloading press. I am working on my 11 cavity adjustable core mold as well. I should have them ready to offer at the same time the dies are ready. Then you would truely have everything you need and would not need lead wire or a wire cutter. I expect to be able to offer the mold in the $125-$150 range, we shall see how much labor it takes me.

I'll get to some of my PM's now

    Thanks

I'm gathering the last items needed for my inventory needs to put together 100 sets of my 22 cal dies. With this amount of inventory availble to me I should be able to offer these 22 cal dies with minimal delays in filling customer orders.

The results will be worth everyone's wait.

    Thanks

BT, let us know what you think of the jackets as well. I have been looking at them. Richard told me he might be offering other sizes as he has time to make the tooling to make them.

Without posting to many pictures giving away all my secerets here is a thread I started way back when on the problems I had with the CH stock parts. All the problems I encountered with their internial parts I fixed and simplified with my stronger, better designed parts. Really makes the die work the way it should.

    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=70342

Their die is great! Their internal parts and design......... not so great

Really, if anyone is interested in making 40 cal bullets from 9mm brass my improved Ch die is the way to go! I can't say it enough. I spent a while making this one PERFECT! But don't take my word for it just look at how many here are making and shooting these great bullets with the BTSniper improved CH 40 cal die.

If you still have questions please feel free to ask. I have plenty of these dies ready to ship in short time and will be happy to provide this great die to anyone interested.

    Good shooting

I can answer that one! The normal version is a longer bullet. We found out from experimentation that the normal version is better for the 10mm Auto. The improved is a shorter bullet (same weight).. the nose has a more blunt profile. And the improved is better for the .40 S&W.

There's a picture somewhere of the two, side by side.....

    here:

Normal on the left, and improved on the right

this intrigues me. i see both dies do the serration notching. will be reading the link and all others i can find.

the 500 die should work with a 50ae shooting weapon correct? if so, this can get expensive fast for me.

Ah yes, I forgot that the standard CH die is a .250 meplat and a bit long of a nose for the 40S&W unless you can load long. I shorten the length of the nose in my improved CH dies with a .281 meplat that makes it the correct length for loading the 40S&W to specs. I can still offer the original .250 meplat as well.

The great thing about making bullets with rims on them is that you can mount them in a case trimer and shorten the nose to any length you want.

The 50AE has a very short nose on it and I could make the die as such or you can trim the length of my orginal 50 cal bullet as needed.

    Good shooting,

The picture Duke has there is the Improved CH .281 meplat on the left and my BTSniper custom 40 cal die with a .250 meplat and shorter/rounder nose on the right.

The bullet on the right is not out of a CH die but my own custom designed die.

    Just to be clear,

    Improved CH on Left

    BTSniper custom die on Right

    Sorry for any cornfusion

The notching is done in a sepperate die before forming bullet. Works PERFECT EVERY TIME with any caliber.
