Brian's 9mm Luger > .40 cal was my first swaging die. It even preceded my second purchase from him, the .22 LR > .224 die set.
I can't count how many thousands of the .40's I have made from what was one of Brian's early "prototypes".

Since my two initial purchases, I have also added the following:
.40 S&W > .44
.40 S&W > .45 (just ran 1,000 of these this weekend. Used chuckbuster's cannelure tool to add the cannelure)
45 acp > .500 mag
5.7 X 28 FN > .30 cal
.223 rem > 9mm bullets (love this one. they have become my loads for my 357 Sig carry gun. )

So far my first home made 22 to 223's are shooting into an honest inch at 100,the rifle is a Tikka 223 sporter and I made both 52 and 55grn and loaded them over 22.5 grains of AR2219. Happy days. Pat

I've decided to stick with CCI and SK,they both derim very easily and weigh the same,Federal and Remington are a PITA so I've ditched them.The prosess from start to finish is suprisingly easy and once the core swage is set up to the weight you want very accurate on the scales and on target. Pat

Both,I've given a bag to a fox shooter to try,I'm not worried about their effectiveness. Pat

I'll bet it might work out rather well for him, might not get an exit hole, good for the pelt, but don't know about the entry hole size?

I have some awesome footage of what these bullets can do to a typical ground squirrel. I'll have to post a video of it some day! Pretty impressive aerial performances.

How about a half price .312 swage die! Use it to bump up .308 bullets to .312 with only one stroke of the press!



Typical Sierra 180 grain 30 cal bullet on the right and the reformed .312 bullet on the left. Great part is no auto eject required (but I do have one available to speed production), no lead tipping die necessary and perfect results are obtained from any decent reloading press!
