    YEP!

-30 cals dies are ready just need to be assembled.

-22 cal die is real close, close enough I could accept orders and not keep any one waiting to long. I will still need to machine then heat treat the dies. Any deliveries of 22 cal dies will not be till first of next year. Possibly a month or two into it depending on work load and number of orders. Hopefully sooner but I try to leave time for the unexpected. As many of you know I always error on the side of quality should I experience any delays.

I have a few pics of my lattest work with the 22s I'll have to post. It is looking very good. I would like to shoot a few first and have yet to do so to prove the potential.

-Threaded ram.... no problem. Just let me know if it old style RCBS with grove cut in base of the ram or new style with no grove.

Derim die is posted as extra at the moment as far as cost but yes I'll provide a derime die too of course for the 22 die sets. I'll set the cost of the derim die at $100 with the neccesary base punch.

I wish I could do better on the cost but when one makes dies of a quality worthy to be sold to the shooting public one soon realizes there is a lot more work involved then one would have at first thought. I am not at all disappointed with the quailty and design of the dies I am now able to make and I am confident any of you will be pleased as well. Matter of fact I added the guarantee in my original post to prove it.

    BT

p.s. The 22 derim base punch also works well as the base punch for sizing down 5.7 brass for 30 cal jackets. There is a bit of savings.

As thrilled as I would be to see a bullet mfg using my dies...... these bullets pictured are Montana Gold JHP bullets from what I understand. Still it is a brass jacketed bullet. Just not a 9mm brass jacketed bullet. Besides.....my look better.

I am trying to keep this thread current for all the products I have to offer. As many of you can imagine I have posted alot on this forum and started severial threads as well. In many of these threads I may have mentioned prices or offers for my products. Many of these threads can be up to three years old or more and certainly my prices and offers are subject to change.

I will spend some time going threw my previous threads attempting to update any such prices or offers I my have mentioned with a "refer to this thread" posted in their place.

I'm am sure I may miss a few price refrences in the severial posts I have composed but should you find any posts outside of this thread that relate to any of my products with a price listed, please consider any such offeres and prices to be VOID. Also if any of you find a price refrence that I missed in another thread let me know so I can edit it and save everyone any confusion.

Thanks for your support. Good Shooting and Swage On!

45 cal step by step with my die setup

I'm working on some simple to understand pics in the formation of 45 cal bullets from 40 S&W brass. I'll elaborate a bit more latter but here is a few pics for now.

    BT

Step 1 Expand the fully annealed 40S&W brass to a diameter of about .445. I offer expanding mandrels for use in my universal die for this task.
Step 2 Seat a 158 grain .358 cast boolit core using the flat internial punch in the core seat die and the .425 base punch.

Step 3 Switch the flat internial punch of the core seat die to the cone shape and switch the base punch from the .425 to the .445. Then take the seated core from step 2 and run back into the core seat die to displace the lead core to form a cone.

Step 4 Drop an 8mm Airsoft BB and procede to notch the top of the jacket.

Step 5 Form bullet in swage die.

Cross section shows construction. The BB will 100% fill the HP cavity. The slight void you see was only caused from me melting the BB slightly in the cutting process of sectioning the bullet in half.

To form a more traditional JHP 230 grain .451 bullet use same process, just skip the cone shape punch and use of BB

    1. Start with 40 S&W case trimed to .730
    2. expand trimmed case to .445
    3. Seat core using flat internial punch and .425 base punch
    4. notch jacket
    5. form bullet using HP punch in the Swage die

    .500 die set orders

As you all can see the 500 dies are coming along quite nicly.

The 500 is a heck of a bullet. I am experimenting with a few tricks to make formation of these big bullets easier on any decent reloading press. As you can see the bullet design is set and intial results look great. These techniques I speak of will consist of a few extra tools to be used in the bullet formation process. Since this is a new bullet caliber of dies for me I plan to include these options at no additonal charge to the first few customers purchasing this die set.

I still may have a few finer details to perfect but I am confident and proud to accept orders for this .500 cal die set at this time. I expect I will have first sets of these dies avialble in about three months time, that should put it about the end of Feburary to begining of March. I make sure all my customers know that I will always error on the side of quality should I encounter any delays. Cost is as follows

$475 complete 2 die BTSniper .500 cal die set
    $140 Universal XTP notch die
    $35 case prep expanding mandrel
    $10 S&H
You can subtact 10% for any order placed before end of year.

I stand behind all my products and offer a 30 day money back guarantee and life time gaurantee (does not cover abuse or neglect).

The 500 is a heck of a round. It will benifit greatly from a quality bullet of this type. With these dies you will be able to make a life time supply of 500 cal bullets using nothing but scrap 45ACP brass.

Should any of you have any questions plese feel free to ask at any time, I am always happy to help.

I look foward to hearing back from anyone interested in this AWESOME round. Please addvise which of the BIG 50s you are shooting since the 50AE requires a bullets with a shorter nose length.

    Good shooting and Swage On!

    REALLY NICE PICS

Thats what what us Time Challenged gentleman LIKE to SEE is UP CLOSE

and CLEAR PICS of small details in a nice step by step fashion.

GREAT JOB by the way on your on going projects,,,they seem to address many of the QUES. that are hard to get straight answers for in other more "confusing places & Websites."

    PM in bound RR

Swageocast, Thanks. I'll get better yet. Instead of my crummy handwriting I really need to have typed data with the step by step pics. I'm getting there These are the same samples I typiccaly send out with all my dies. My goal would be to have someone that has never swaged before be able to look at the step by step and know exactly how to make a bullet.

I still plan to add on to the above step by step post, all it takes is time on my part................

One shot, I'll have some pics up soon. I got lots of different samples lying around. I'm on my my third design at the moment looking for the one that is just right. I'm close and totally expect to be sooting some of these very soon.

Cost would be my standard $475 for my two die custom set plus $100 for the derim die and punch.

This is a look at what the set of dies will look like.

Here is one of the test bullets I am working with. I formed it backwords and was able to get 70 grains out of the 22LR brass. I'll have better pics soon.

I'll keep you all posted on the 22 progress for sure. I just got the neccessary .062 ejection pins so I need to cut a new die and see what I can come up with first.

Thanks, I am looking at a .062 diameter meplat with a standard 6s ogive. Any weight bullet will be possible and wether it ends up a soft point or hollow will depend on the length of the jacket and/or weight of the bullet.

My Savage 223rem has a 1-9 twist so I am going to test teh heavier 60-70 grain bullets first. I'll keep everyone posted.

Mine will be for my two AR-15's, so 55-72 grains would be about perfect.
