Expecting dies back from heat treat first week after holiday. Sending prints to my reamer supplier for some new caliber offerings or new nose shapes for existing calibers. VLDs to come! Will also be getting my existing carbide reamers sharpened so they will cut/bore the best possible cavity in the hardened dies.

Lots of exciting things to come. Stay posted and thank you to the few customers still on the list waiting for these dies. It will be well worth your additional wait.

Just picked up my 480 dies from heat treat. These dies have completed half the machine work necessary to make them into complete dies. Next step is to bore the bullet cavities of the hardened dies with my carbide reamers to produce the top quality finish you guys have come to expect form my quality swage dies. After the bullet cavities of the point form die, and the bores of the core seat dies (and various other dies) are machined they will then be sent off to be Black Nitride Processed.

Having these dies already hardened and on the shelf ready to bore to any caliber requested will shorten wait times considerably for current and future orders as I do not need as many dies to meet "minimum costs" for Nitride processing as I do to meet the minimum cost for the heat treating process.

My custom reamer shop is currently in possession of 26 of my reamers to get them a simple check up and sharpen where/as needed. I also sent them new AutoCAD drawings necessary to complete nearly 20 new reamers for me. I am lucky to have found such an awesome shop that is capable of such precision and great turn times. Even with their excellent abilities, completing work on these 40+ reamers will take a little while, probably the rest of the summer at least, but for those of you currently waiting for dies to be machined, I had them put the reamers necessary to complete your dies on the top of the list to shorten your wait just as much as possible.

Thank you all for your patience and support. I'm in the process of "gearing up" this summer by catching up and completing back orders, ordering and replacing inventory of necessary items and taking necessary steps in preparation that will allow me to fill a lot future orders with much quicker turn times. As the summer winds down and my girls return to school come the first of September I expect to be ready to take on and fill a new large batch of orders.

Please feel free to send me your requests for any new orders as this is a good time to get in front of the line for my next big run of dies. It will take me a few days to a few weeks to get you a reply but rest assured, I will get replies sent to all requests (both past, present and future) in time for all the details to be worked so that your requested set of dies (subject to calibers I have reamers available for on hand) will be in these next couple batches of dies to be sent to Nitride for final processing.

I expect to send at least two more batches of dies to Nitride in the next few months (and possibly a third batch of dies by the end of the year or more depending on orders) to fulfill current orders and build future "on the shelf ready to ship" inventory.

    Good shooting and swage on!

I just wanted to check in and say I'm still enjoying my swaging dies! I get the strangest looks when I explain why I'm picking up 9mm and 40 brass. I have to keep examples of the steps in my range kit to show people what I'm talking about. Thanks again. It was a long wait. But well worth it!

Things are going well even though it seems things are a bit slow on the forums lately, probably just the holidays but it has allowed me to catch up, mater of fact got some new designs coming back from nitride in the next couple weeks, I'll be sure to post some updates and pics.

Been spending a little extra time updating my facebook page, reaching out to new shooters and spreading the word a bit on our swaging hobby, in turn maybe a few will find their way here too.

I'll have some new dies and bullet designs to post news about soon. Till then feel free to stop by my facebook page, like and and say hello.

I saw where you mentioned you were saving for a new[er] lathe. Hard to believe you've been using this ancient Atlas for your die work. I'm very familiar with the 10x Atlas as I owned a very early one in my home shop for many years, in addtion to a 15x60 Von Wyck lathe. My current lathe is a 12x36 Birmingham and an Enco 8x36 vertical mill (1,700 lbs). In the distant past I had a Clausing 6300 in my home shop. My old blue Index vertical mill on the bottom of this page:

I notice your lathe is missing the carriage traverse crank? Mine broke the pinion gear so I made a lever-feed carriage traverse setup. Worked out so good I never did replace the carriage pinion gear.

Noticed where you mentioned not being 5C tooled. There are 5C chucks available for the 1 1/2-8 spindle thread. But you can also use 3C collets. I made a very effective 3C drawbar from 1/2" pipe and used South Bend 3C collets in the 10x Atlas (Craftsman).

Yep, that's her , I got a mill and a few other goodies as well in the shop.

Yep I broke ....something, some small part, but I simply removed the carriage traverse crank and on I go.

She still gets done what I need from her. One learns how to use what they got. Till I figure out what my next one will be. One could, and I have, spend hours researching all the various lathes. That's a good looking Hardinge for sure.

    Good shooting and swage on!

I have a small plastic compartment type box, nothing quite as fancy as the one you are selling, that I have loaded with my swaging samples. I almost always have it with me. I love showing people the .500" swaged bullet (from 45 ACP brass), and asking them if they can tell me what it is. They always ponder the spent primer, and ask what kind of gun shoots it. I explain that it's a bullet/projectile, and not a cartridge, and that hooks them immediately.

It's a great way to share the wonderful art of bullet swaging.

Nice packaging, Brian. I hope people buy a lot of them from you!

Been out shooting my latest 9s ogive 52 grain 22 cal bullets made from 22lr brass. They have been shooting very well from a new CBI 26" 12 twist barrel that I had nitride processed. I have been using LC brass with CCI 450 primer and H-335 and have been getting groups near 1/2" at 100yrds at over 3500 FPS! I'm impressed. I really like the performance of the 12 twist nitride processed barrel. Even got up to nearly 3700 fps and it wasn't until I reached a load that was too much pressure that it popped a primmer did I get a bullet that didn't make it to the target. At that speed and pressure I'm sure there are factory bullets that would have been challenged to stay together.

I'll post some pics and details soon but I'm getting them ready for this spring's ground squirrel season, should be EXPOSIVE! Heck the bullets where starting to expand just from hitting the card stock paper target, imagine what it will do when it hits varmints!

Just got back from this years sage rat shoot. I got some very good results and video footage this year of the 223 bullets made from 22lr brass. Got some valuable input from loads and long range accuracy from these great little bullets. I got to say I was very impressed with what these bullets where capable of. Successful shots where made on the little sage rats (about the size of a pop can) out to 300 yrds and beyond with regularity. I'll have more data to post and a video of the results soon too.

I was able to finally put together a video of last years shoot with results from 32 grain 20 cal pills at 4100 fps! Check out the "Sage Rats Galore 2015" video as well as the rest of my videos
