Question Will Hornady .416" Gas Check fit Lyman 410610?

I am looking for a mold that works with the Hornady checks, anyone here have this combination to tell me if they will fit?

If it works, i will be looking for one of those molds.

No they are too big. Lyman 41 molds take Lyman 41 checks. Only other source for Lyman size 41 is Gotor.

Yes, the Lyman boolit shanks are too large for the 416 check. ... felix

My Saeco mold must be made for the lyman checks too as Hornady's wont fit on it either.

    Do the Gator's crimp on?

the shank size is important: 397 or less for Lyman equivalent checks.
378 or less for speciall 41 mag checks. 393 or less for 416 checks. ... felix

I checked the shank size on the Saeco bullet and it is running around .398" - .400". Maybe my mold is defective??

I have used the .416 checks on .41 boolits, but you have to anneal them and spread them a little. I did it with a 1" ball bearing and a mallet. Annealed .44 checks will also work after a fashion.
