This group buy is CLOSED. I will get a list of molds off to NOE asap. If you missed out, keep an eye on the NOE Index of bullets and stuff for sale thread. Extras will be listed for sale there.

The schedule has the Brass 180gr.
    Made in Jan.
I know that is not right.
Do you know when they are to be made?

    Whitetail, others

We are working on brass mould blocks now.
This is our first sizable run of brass and we are taking it one step at a time
to get the procedures worked out.
It may take a little longer than normal but it is in the works.

Please be patient and we will try to keep you updated as we go.

If this means that there is still time to get an order in, please put me down for a 4 cavity with 2GC and 2PB. If not, I'll keep my eyes peeled for any overs. PM sent just in case.

    OK hers the deal Guys.

We are getting brass mould blanks in.
Got the tooling in and are proofing the first 4 cavity mould.
This is our first 4 cavity brass mould and we have no idea
how it is going to react when we cast with it.
Will get the first one and cast with it - I hope this week.
I'm not going to jump in to the middle of a big mess if I can help it.

If any of you want out send me a PM and I will get you a refund in the mail.

And I will re frame from asking any one to Please be patient any more.
But I do thank you all for putting up with the monster that I have created.

    Regards
    Swede Nelson

I look at it this way, any recent GB's are a year in the making. What is another month or two?

if they don't work, Swede will make it right, and if they do work, it will be well worth the wait

so far, all the moulds i have from Swede are works of art, i see no reason not to wait for the next Swede Gogh!!

    Round #1
Got a mould in hand and started to run our evaluation.
Cold mould as machined flat and true.
First run, ran mould from 350F to 400F, cast in 10F increments.
No visible difference in appearance of bullets, no frosting at all.
Had lead pot set at 700F. very good fill out and easy to cast.
Was about all I could do to get mould blocks up to 400F.

Letting block cool and will check for flatness again.
If it checks out will run same drill 2 more times and report findings as we go.

    Round #2
Checked flatness, no change, flat and true.
Cast for about a hour, mould blocks 395F to 420F, lead pot 740F.
About all I could do to get blocks over 400F.
Letting block cool and will check for flatness again.

Have to do final test first thing tomorrow.
Need to get some other orders out yet tonight.

    Regards
    Swede Nelson

Swede, will you post the alloy and boolit diameter you get? Also, in process of making a mold oven can you give dimensions of the mold so I can cut opening of the box? Do you think your altitude affects the ability to preheat your mold? Thanks for all the effort. Hope my mold throws them pretty like yours in .358
