    Molding bullet lubes

Pardon if this topic has been previously addressed.

Anyone have any neat ideas about molding up homemade lubes into those commercial hollow tubes that bit a Lyman sizer??

Other than stuffing bits of cooled lube into the sizing chamber, any other ideas??

stumbling thru the search feature can often be rewarding/distracting/worthy :P , it's just easiest for me to pour molten lube in my sizer wait 10 minutes and go to town but this link has a lil info as well as a few more links

Why pour it into a mold. Use a pot like this. Keep the excess lube in the pot with a lid on it.

    Works for me !

Honestly I just pour my 50/50 Beeswax/Moly in one of those lube tubes from Lyman with one end capped. I sink a pen tube (bic stick) through the middle and let it cool down. When it cools I just pull out the pen tube and leave the lube in there till I need it. Works like a champ every time!

I use Ben's method.... just got my second pot at a garage sale last week, both were $2., which must be the going rate in my area. My first one was brand new, almost wanted to keep it for brewing coffee. (Check out how much these things run new nowadays!) The second one had green trim (beautiful 70's era), so this will be the one I keep Speed Green in.

If you still want to mold up a supply of lube, these instructions are pretty complete. You don't have to do as many in one pour as he does.
