    winchester model 70

I just purchased at yard sale a mod 70 223 sporter weight rifle. The stock has had about 3 inches cut off of it.I would like to replace it . the rifle says mod 70 SA but on the other side it says ranger. I see one synthetic stock listed for the ranger in Brownells. Does any one know if there is any difference between the post mod 70 short action . and the ranger. thanks.

This might help if you're interested in a Boyd's replacement stock for your Mod. 70. I buy a lot of stocks form Boyd's. They make a good product.

You can phone them at 605/996-5011 , they will answer any questions that you may have about restocking your Mod. 70, .223 Rem.

    Lightning Ross

I've got a factory (new) M70 sporter w/schnaubel replacement stock I'll let go for $100 shipped. It is pictured along side my M70 .223 XTR. Let me know if you're interested.

Ok but I've got to give Lightning Ross first shot. I'll send him a PM.
