    Powder change in Dillon 550B

I hope this is in the right spot. Having powder left in the measure after loading I have to take the measure off the machine/powder die to empty whats left. Has someone come up with a better way to empty the hopper. I won't leave powder in the hopper after I finish loading.

Just pull the whole tool head off and empty it while it is still attached to the tool head. That should do the trick.

Same as Love Life said. Pull the tool head off and dump. I will also move the poder bar back and forth a few times to get the last out. Only takes a few minutes.

I keep an allen key next to the 550 that has a ball end on one end. It is easy to undo 2 allen screws holding the hopper on the top of the powder die and then empty it (after disconecting the failsafe rod). Many ways to skin a cat, although while it is still alive can be a little lively.

Mark the hopper with the propellant ID and stop fussing. Propellant will store in the measure as well as in the can if not in sunlight.

I just use a ball end Allen wrench to take off the measure and empty it. Takes a whole minute.
    I don't see the trouble.
