Well if yoiu ever get close you are welome to come enjoy. I get a big kick out of it when someone hits the 300 or 400 yard gong with a lever rifle shooting a cast bullet in a pistol cartridge with open sights or a receiver sight.

Oh wow, that would be nice. 45-70, 30-30 and 357 are 3 of the 4 rifles i can consistently
do well with. But Google estimates an eight hour drive there =/

I would love a chance to go shooting with some one else who casts there own. I hardly even know anyone who even reloads.

I will be in Utah the end of July.
I might take you up on this offer.

Find us on the map and keep me posted. Any special needs you have let me know. I sold my Sharps 40-70 and Marlin 45 LC this week, but we'll have plenty more to shoot. I need 2-3 weeks advance notice to get ammo ready and can only accomodate 1 maybe 2 shooter at the same time, but only one shoots at a time. Sure look forward to your company. my email is jamesc@emerytelcom.net please use it to keep in touch rather than the forum if you wouldl, lot easier for me to keep track.

    Thanks for the offer

It is too bad you sold the 45-70 and the 45LC. Those are two of my favorite calibers. I shoot cast boolits in the 45-70 and the 45LC. Both Marlin lever actions. I also have a H & R Buffalo gun in 45-70 that is great to shoot long distances.
Thanks for the offer but I am in New York and it would be a long drive.

Ya know, it was tough selling the 45 LC, but I have 44 and 44-40 and it's just kind of time to thin things out a little. It was 4-70 Sharps Straight by Shiloh, but it's time to do things you need to do.
Anyway yes it is a long ways to Utah, but should you ever get here, you have a place to Clang some steel.
