    Cast lead, Lyman Moly

I have read this that and the other thing,, about applying moly to cast pistol bullets.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/35lb-cap-Rock-Tu...item3cb68574f0

I have this type of tumbler,,

I just got the moly, and and built a lil pvc tube cylinder tumbling tube, but made a smaller 5in round tube, some BB's

I'll put 200+ 9mm rn's in the tube and give them a spin tonight,,

Then push them through the sizer,, with no wax lube,,,

I'm very interested on how this,, Impact plating will work.

    Any thoughts,,

i have a friend that only moly coats his cast boolits.
he has to do a bit of extra work to find a load that works for him.

You might want to size first then moly coat as the sizing will remove the moly from the drive bands.

One thing I did but have not completely tested is to add a little moly to the tumble lube process on some cast 9mm's I made up last year.. the moly added to the JPW seemed to coat the bullets well, I just haven't had a chance to try them out to see if they work. Hopefully I'll have some time to experiment in a few months.

    Interesting ideas,,,

I hope to have some time to load some up,, and test them,,

they only are in the gun barrel,,, for a very short time,,,

the moly only has to last 5 inches of less

    Jim
