Shank dia of Lubrisizer top punch?

I'm at work at the moment and forgot a top punch at home to measure the shank dia (I'm turning some blanks). Can someone just let me know the diameter of the shank (that goes into the Lubrisizer ram).

    Thanks

I came up with .265 from a Lyman top punch.

Ahh, that did the trick. A nice flat Top Punch for resizing the lee "Trashcan" wadcutters. .010 smaller in dia than the bullet.

The next thing I'm gonna make are hollow blank Top Punches to be filled with Devcon 10110 steel epoxy (same stuff I use for glass bedding). Will make a perfect form of the bullet tip for some of those old oddball bullets I have molds for.

I've used epoxy to fill in a top punch and then match the bullet nose. Works well

I get by most of the time with a flat 1 for 38/357 , but 308 rifle boolits is a different story !!

If ya get in the notion to cut some 308 to be filled give a holler !!

My abilitys on a lathe are limited but I did cut a flat one from aluminum , don`t know how it work for the custom jobs ???

I'll see if I can either manually run some or have a buddy CNC some hollow blanks that can be filled. I'll let you folks know.

I've never got around to making top punches with the punch matched to the bullet with epoxy. I have used rounded carbide burrs to make rounded top punches but they all leave a slight ring impression in the bullet. Lately I've been attempting to match my shacking and poor eyesight to the ring in the bullet for increased accuracy.

To date it hasn't worked, but hey maybe tomorrow.

I'm also working on the lead to gold conversion thing too.

    No results there either.

Mix in some gold paint on the surface.
    Works for me.

Hot glue works, too...and it's removable.
