Does anyone have any load data for the 30-338 win mag? Looking for cast boolit data and j-word data. The Sierra manual may have some data in it but i do not have the rifle manual.

You can also use .308 Norma Magnum data, as it is essentially the .30-338.
I would expect starting loads for the 300 WM less 4 or 5% should be fair game.

Thats kinda what my plan was. I wanted to find some 30-338 data to compare to the 300 and norma mag. The 300 is a little longer and the Norma is almost identical. Just looking for some comparisons to get comfortable.

I went through several hundred google returns without locating any cast boolit data. You found some Papa Jack?? Please share!!
Furthermore, the sierra manual I could not find published online and I'm wondering if someone can hook a brother up if they have one laying around.

Here are some max loads for the 30-338 (my favorite .30 cal cartridge). I used simular loads all with 180 gr Nosler Partition bullets and achieved 3,050 -3,100 fps in a Ruger No 1 with a shorter barrel length than specified for the loads below. This is a "smokin" cartridge and the key to the retirement system for large North American game animals is a 180 gr projectile leaving the muzzle in excess of 3k fps. Start your loads 5-10% below those listed below and work up from there.
180 Sierra Hodgdon H-4831
73.3M
3100 fps
3842
180 Sierra IMR-4350
69.3M
3100 fps
3842
180 Sierra Norma-MRP
72.2M
3100 fps
3842
180 Sierra IMR-4831
71.4M
3100 fps
3842
Thanks for the info guys, that should get me started.

I use 308 norma data to start. 73gr of IMR 4831 with a hornady 180gr bullet is too hot for my rifle. I have blown primers with that load. I have gotten 150 grainers up to 3400 fps with IMR 4350 but thats a little too warm for my taste.
