I got the idea from a post on another firearms related website. I think it cost less that $20 in parts. The only really precise element is positioning the hole for the bolt so that there is enough clearance for the moon clip, but not too much clearance so it properly seats the cartridge.

I still need to come up with an addition to this device for de-mooning the empty cases.

I am loading 30-30 and 30-06 with NOE Saeco #315 PB boolits. The stock seating die left rings on the tapered part of my flat nose boolit. I turned down a couple bolts to act as flat nose seater stems. I used a small lathe to turn the bolt head and a hack saw to slot the other end.

I wasn't happy with the mold rest on my 20 pound lee pot, so I flipped it over and added another piece of steel. The added piece has a hole for the drips to fall through, and I clamped it to the original holder as I wasn't sure how well it would work out. It actually made casting with a 5 cavity mold much better. There is a very nice shelf for sale on this forum, but I didn't want to spend the money yet and I didn't know if it would be worth while.

My quick and dirty version of a mold shelf.

Figured I would add one of my helping tools, electric chamfer tool. Its a "older" kitchen mixer from goodwill. Back when the gears were still metal. I just cut off the mix heads and then sliced an extra chamfer tool in half. Put a hole in the middle and glued them on. I did have to re-cut the cutting edge on the outside tool, the mixer spins the towards each other so only one was spinning the right way. So far I have found that light pressure and the "stir" setting works the best

I also use a paper towel to catch the trimmings so clean up is a breeze.

danomano: That is slick! Well done. I happen to have an extra chamfering tool. On my way to the local Goodwill this afternoon.

Thanks for the compliment but I can't take complete credit. I got the idea from another website.

Now I just need to come up with something equally as brilliant for removing the empty shells from the moonclips.

No doubt Inline Fabrications make great stuff, but shipping from the US to Oz is prohibitive so I came up with this idea for a press riser.

It's just a piece of 8" column, and is wide enough to have both the Pro 1000 and the cast turret press fixed to it.

I used a piece of 8" parallel flanged channel for the SAECO lubesizer.

I did have to make a spacer to clear the radius between the flage and web. Initially, I drilled and tapped the hole to avoid this, but my cheap Chinese tap wore out cutting just one hole in this hard material, so I gave up and just drilled through.

I used T-nuts under the wooden bench top so I can just bolt the channel or column down without having to fumble underneath with nuts.

The hole pattern is square, and the pitch between the holes is the same on the press riser and the lubesizer riser.

This way I can mount the Lubsizer either parallel or at right angles to the front of the bench.

I only finished this last night, so have not had a chance to try it, but I reckon having the lubesizer at right angles will improve the ergonomics.

    Norbrat,

Good build! I guess I need to go find some spare I-beams to copy your good work and retire my old wood frames!!

    Hey pretty cool.
who's driving?? You got out the passenger side.
If I lived down Sth I'd have something like that ..but around here I'd be more or less instant croc droppings.

Crocs must be more aggressive because I've had 8 foot gators chasing fish right up to the side of that...I have to admit...I pee'ed a little.....twice. The second time was when I was watching the fish finder...I saw one big fish go by then a string of fish as long as my boat chasing it. The long string was a big bull gator. The pond was only 8 ft deep and he went right under me.

Compared to Alligators, crocs are way more aggressive apparently.

If you can figure out a way to look inside my head their yours....I'll warn you its scary in there! I'd still like to make and sell these but the cost for mold making and all that stuff is way outta my financial abilities right now. Anyone looking to start a business? LOL

The idea was to have "full size" fishing/duck boat capabilities but to be able to tow it with a 4 wheeler or side by side.

The actual scariest encounter I had was with a frisky juvenile dolphin. He went right under my boat and tail flipped it. The wake off his tail pushed the boat up. It made me feel like a bobber in a big river at dusk with nobody around for miles.
