Please add me to the list for one, 2 Cav. FP mold, OR a FP mold for any greater number of cavities that may be made available.

I am new to this forum and was wondering about this buy does it need to be a hollow point mold and what are the prices per cavity. Also how do you order a mold from this thread. Thanks for any info.

Is there a big difference between the penta pins and round HP pins in bullet performance?
What would the ball park weight be for both HP versions?

I am 99% sure I am jumping in on this one but want to know the options.

Biggest difference between penta and round point pins is going to be in the final weight of the projectile. From my experience with the 700 gr mold from miha the round hp came in at 620 gr and the penta at 631 gr. I don't have a range report for you in terms of accuracy or terminal ballistics. I'm gonna throw it out there that what ever you hit with this couldn't tell the difference between round, penta or flat. I'm in love with the big fifty. Check out my video of the 440 grain Lee putting the smack down on a water jug.

    Nice shot!

I currently shoot the Lee bullet but want a heavier / slower slug with good thumping qualities. I was trying to get a feel for weight and determine if it will stabilize out of my S&W 500. When ordering a mold do they come with both pin sets or is it specified before ordering?

Thanks. As long as you aren't using a snub nose 500 s&w you should be fine.

I'm hoping this buy comes with both but someone else will have to verify to be sure.

This mold will come with 2 sets of pins, one for a round HP and one for a Penta HP and both pins when turned around will make FPs.
I have this same boolit made in a PB and it will stabilize out of the 4" S&W 500.
