    Smelting loob and makin flux!

Smelted my deer fat into ingots and cracklins. Use the "smelted" tallow ingots for formulating loob and bird food. Use the cracklins for flux when smelting lead. Use "food grade" dutch oven, ladle and muffin mold. Don't want anybody gettin poisoned if the tallow suddenly gets into some pemmican or sausage and don't wanna hurt my birdies, they're about the only colorful thing around in winter. And need the flux as the lead cache is growing and smeltin that soon.

my Dad would tell us about putting the Cracklin's on fresh bread with a bit of salt.

scrunch another fresh piece of bread and ENJOY!
