    Mihec 6-cav .359/9mm 140 gr re-run

I really shoulda bought this the first time. Any body like me interested in a re-run? If we get enough people maybe we can get it done. I'll start the list. He already has the tooling/software, so it shouldn't take too much effort on his part.

Must be some other mould, only one run of these that I know of, and I have been looking.

I got one of the molds from the first run, and I can tell you that it's amazing!!!

I run some as 9mm's, and the rest I send through a swaging die and bump them out to .38 special size with a SWC nose.

Much nicer way to run 147 grain bullets. If you shoot 9's, this is the mold to get!!!

I'll take one, what's the time frame on this and how many orders you need to make it happen, I could take two.

Is it possible to get some measurments?

Exept for being a bit heavy, I like the look of it with the slightly wider grease groove then on my other molds.
But what I need to know is how long the straight side is before it starts to narrow, if I'm clear enough

This is the same mold as was done without vent lines. There are two versions, one with bevel base at 147 grains and then a plain base at 140 grains. The vent line issue was a bit of an experiment I think, and Mihec learned that it was not a good thing, and went back to putting vent lines on. He also offered these in both .357 and .359 sizes.

I'm interested. What is the cost and time frame we are looking at?

I want the 140 grain PB. I have no idea about the cost and the timeline, that would be up to Mihec if he decides to run another batch of these. I'm just trying to get an interest list to convince him to do another batch for us. I would think that having at least 10 would help, but the more we have the better chance of this happening. He must be awfully busy as I haven't seen him post much for a while now.

Springfield, I like the same boolit in .359 . I'm not interested in the 147 gn BB or the .357 boolit. Lets hope it's a "yes" from Miha. I don't as yet have an aluminium mould of his.

I will likely get one if the buy is a go. I have a 45 mold and love it. I don't need a 9mm mold yet, but there is never a buy available when I'm ready...

You might try e-mailing Mihec, I don't see any pics with measurements in any of the old posts.

    Springfield,

I am looking/waiting for a 9mm mold in 147grns, plain base. I remember I emailed Miha about that maybe last year.

If this idea will push thru, I'm in. Just send me a PM.

One more thing, if I use in 9mm, the diameter is .355, if it cast in 357 or 359, can I resized it to .355?

    Thanks.

I size bullets down 3-5 thou with no problem as long as it is a pistol bullet. Long rifle bullets with more surface area can be more difficult. By accident I have sized .455 bullets to .429. It takes some effort, but it goes. You also might find that .356-.357 work well in your 9mm anyway.
