Would one be able to get this boolit to go fast enough to cycle the action of a carbine with a 1:9 twist without leading?

I'll go with a 2 cavity with hollow point. Thanks, Billy
i use a ir thermometer... but on shiny surfaces (like a shiny still,or bullet mold) you must paint it flatt black to get an accurate reading ... the shiny surfaces shoot the ir out in many directions , flatt black barbeque paint works great ,just spray on the area you want to test temperature. only down side is you cant test the lead in ol drippy, as the surface is shiny so a probe would work best in this case, happy shooting ...

Not about speed, its about pressure/volume at the port. I have my AR-15 cycling perfectly using the 55gr Bator with 18gr of H4895 with a mid-length gas system, carbine length would do just fine with it as well (higher pressure/volume in the shorter gas system)

Remember, medium speed powders rather than fast powders.
