Hey guys, we've talked about collecting abbreviations in one place, and so with Ken's blessing, here we go. Please post your suggestions, and I will collect them and put them into alphabetical order on this #1 post. Eventually, Ken will make them into a sticky. Thanks, everyone, in advance for your help!

I am relatively new here, and I learn some terms related to the forum.
It took many frantic search to figure out what the others are talking about before I found out what they mean.
Among others;
On the casting material:
WW = wheel weight
On Lube:
LLA = Lee Liquid Alox
JPW = Johnson Paste Wax
45-45-10 = 45% LLA + 45% JPW + 10% Mineral Spirit
FWFL = Felix World Famous Lube
On additional component:
GC = Gas Check
PB, plain base
BB, bevel base
PP, paper patch

Cramer= A manufacturer of molds that developed an internal HP pin. Not all Cramers are HP molds
Soup Can= The Lee 113 fp 30 cal boolit, not to be confused with the 7mm Soup can or any other one resembling a small can,. This is the original.
WDWW= Water dropped wheel weights
OQWW+ oven quenched WW. You can heat treat by other means but you can't water quench without an oven.

Years ago, I worked with a korean pipefitter. After hours of struggling with a particularly difficult project, he screamed this out. I thought it was Korean for victory or somethin'.
I saw PBR up the line called Patched Round Ball ???
In my X-world PBR Patrol Boat Riverein or Pabst Blue Ribbon, neither has much to do with Boolets.

beagle, as in to "beagle a mold" meaning to use a technique to slightly enhance the overall diameter of a cast boolit.
TL, which in front of certain boolit mold designs, stands for Tumble Lube meaning it has micro bands rather than traditional lube grooves.
CR as in Carnauba Red from White Label Lubes (WLL)
BAC, another fantastic White Label Lube standing for Beeswax, Alox, Carnauba
Bullplate, THE lubricant for molds, especially aluminum molds, and that comes from Bullshop
Those are a few that I think are pretty commonly discussed around here, but that I didn't see on the Master List.
And, I think it's a typo but it's 45%LLA + 45% JPW + 10% Mineral Spirits instead of 45 plus, 45 plus equals 10
Also, I vote for omitting the Potentially Offensive Acronyms.
If someone uses one and others don't know what it means, best left to either one's imagination or a private message explanation.
We've kept the standards and conduct very high here for a long time. No need to lower them with thinly veiled ways around the very words and behavior we're trying to avoid. It certainly helps keep us way more civil--which is something we're known far and wide for with other gun forums. It also keeps us a lot more family friendly and non-offensive to each other.
Just my two cents on that matter.
