Need recommendations for replacement barrel early 1970s Colt Combat Commander. Preferably something compatible with boolits and more accurate than the factory barrel.

i have an older barsto stainless in an all steel early wilson commander that shoots cast very well, even old and loose as the slide/links have become. that said, it's going off to see the wizard for a new kart barrel soon as a replacment 1911 is in my hands to shoot while it's gone for refurb. kart would be my bet. check the louderthanwords.com website and probe around there, as well as the 1911 forum. both excellent references.
bobke: Thank you sir.
Kart or Barsto are both excellent quality. If you are going to fit it yourself, the Kart is
much easier.
Bill
If it was easy, anybody could do it.
Try a Kart easy-fit if you want to do it yourself. There's a tool kit available from the same places that sell the barrels.
