    RCBS LAM2 Cleaning

I bought a used LAM2 with no instructions or anything. So, my question is how do I clean this? It seems pretty tared up from whatever lub was in there and I want to make sure I start clean.

Any help cleaning or instructions would be great.

Take everything off of it that isn't metal and put on an old cookie sheet or disposable tin and stick it in the oven and turn on the heat. Somewhere around 250 - 300 degrees should do it. Go to RCBS's website for a schematic.

Before you do that get something to put under it to support it so it's not sitting in the lube you melt off. Also, since the lube is wax based, get some Ammonia about 25-50% to do the finish cleaning.

Take the sizing die out of it then screw the plunger all the way down to push out as much old lube as possible, before heating it.

I have boiled my LAM with dawn dish soap, next time I have to clean it out Iam going to use a heat gun (outside) to melt the lube. Be careful melting lube in the oven in the kitchen, your better half might not be amused.
