Seems everyone is getting into the 45 Colt/.410 combo pistols. This got me to thinking about something my father told me. When he was a little boy in the late '30's, he had a .410 bolt action shotgun that he shot 45 Colt ammo in at times.
Well, I have that shotgun (Sears Ranger I believe) and I also have a 45 Ruger BH, so... I tried to chamber a 45 in the shotgun and it is a very tight fit. I didn't shoot it as the shotgun has a full choke and I'm afraid it may cause some damage.
Are the chambers of the Judge and the S&W Governer true 45 Colt specs, or are they generous in their deminsions?
