Anyone want to sell 5 cast bullet's?
I don't believe so, I've had other guy's send me a sample.
I have 5 turned brass .416 bullet's here and they look to nice to shoot!
But then again I don't own a .416

Yes! Your BATF has very strict rules about exporting reloading components including empty brass and bullets/boolits. Technically you need an FFL to send anything across the border.
Many US companies will not ship anything firearm related to Canada now ~ at least to private citizens.
Some people chance it and in all honesty, I can't see BATF or Homeland Security going nuts on someone sending a few boolits out of the country but technically it is illegal without an FFL.

I cast with mine yesterday, it takes awhile for the mold to heat up then you need to wait a little longer for the pins to get hot. Set your pot to flow as much as possible for bottom pour which didnt work for me with my Lee pot, So I used a ladel and got some good boolits.
The Round pin HP drop at 625gr and the Penta pin drop at 637gr, will flip the pins and make some FP today. The hole in these looks more impressive when its sitting in front of you and would hate to see this in the cylinder pointed at me.
Thank you for all the input on this one guys and I hope you are all happy with the outcome at least for those that have received thiers so far. I cant wait to go drop a pig with one of these.
I'm going to hope that it's in the box at lunch time. I have the bench ready and a PILE of lead ready to flow into round ingots...
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

I got the same weights here.
I'm casting with 50-50 (WW and pure lead) and some 8 or so ounces of linotype tossed in, for good fill.
The weight of this mold is more than usual brass molds, so it took a lot longer to come up to heat. Once up to heat, I had to go slow with the cooling. These bullets want to stay hot a long time.
I clipped the sprues when they got firm, but allowed the bullets to sit in the mold for a while before dropping.
Full open pouring out of my RCBS Pro pot was barely enough as a fill rate. I'll try ladle pouring, although as a general rule, I hate to do that.

Cast some solids yesterday and loaded them today. Checked and lubed they were ~690 grains. I found this info http://www.reloadammo.com/500sw.htm and decided to work with h110. This is what I got from my 8 3/8" barrel and my rifle (H&R).
Pistol
H110 23.5gr. 1)1004 2)1020 3)995 4)1000
24gr. 1)1026 2)1022 3)1015 4)1031
24.5gr. 1)1040 2)1056 3)1042 4)1060
Rifle 23.5gr. 1)1138 2)1126 3)1125 4)1123 5)1148
24gr. 1)1152 2)1151 3)1158 4)1151 5)1148
24.5gr. 1)1182 2)1170 3)1169 4)1177
Anybody have any other loads that they like?
Recoil was not as bad as I thought it would be not saying it was not there just not as much as I thinking there would be. Accuracy with the pistol at 25 yards was 1.5-2" kinda hard to get a good group when they are hitting about 8-10" high. With the rifle (open sites) at 25 yards they 1" or less.

I GOT MINE!
What a fine piece of work!
After boiling in soapy water, I preheated it on my hot plate. I decided to do one cavity with the plain pound HP, the other with the penta point. The PP didn't want to release the boolit. It flat out refused to let go. I had to melt it loose with the P. torch. Second try, same story. I removed the PP pin, coated the other pin with FA mold release. That solved the problem, but it wore off after about 10 boolits.
Here's a few pics;
Lubed with lar's red or carnuba red if you prefer, and gas checked w/Hornady gas checks. The solid is 680.7 lubed, 665.1 bare. The penta point is 625.8 lubed, 609.1 bare. The normal HP is 616.0 lubed, 598.2 bare.
The alloy is 75% lino--25% pure lead, so it's pretty darned hard. It certainly don't need to be that hard, but it's what was in the lee 20 pound bottom pour pot. After inspecting the bullets, I will ladle pour them in the future. I will also use a much softer alloy, probably range lead w/tin added.
The loaded shells all are with WW-296 @ 24.5 grains,(thanks southpaw for the load reference).
Boolits dropped @ .5045, but sized nicely down to .501 in my Lyman 450.
Very nice indeed.
I will have to cast a few myself.

I did a run of solid nose last night, and after gas checking and lubing, they came out at 702 grains! Nice. My alloy is 50-50 (ww/pure) with about 8 ounces of lino tossed in a 20 pound pot.
I don't like running the FN with the HP pins out, and scraping on a surface. Only will lead to boolits stuck on the pins. I put a leather glove down on a piece of SS sheet stock, and used that as a padded sliding surface to get the mold under the pot and back out again.
Miha promises me that he will send me a cut off pin set, so that I can run FN bullets, without any pins sticking out of the back of the mold.
Thanks again to all who made this happen, especially MIHA!!

Try smoking your pins, I did and the HPs in both shape slide right off with no problem, you also have to make sure the pins are good and hot, a lot hotter than what the mold temp needs to be.
My future son-in-law just brought the big smith by to see if my bullets will clear the cylinder. Yup, with room to spare. They look so darn long, and since I only saw the revolver once over a year ago, I wasn't sure.
What a hog leg! Massive is an understatement.
That's the 8-3/8 BBL. 4-¾ pounds empty.
SIL was out shooting some 700 grain bullets that he got from somewhere. A variety pack that had 5 bullet weights in it. He said the 700's were a piece of cake. I have no idea what powder charge they are loaded with, he was able to one-hand the big 500.
As for what I'm going to shoot at with it, just paper for now. I may try to catch an expanded HP just to see what they would expand to. It's heavy enough AND the built in muzzle brake helps out a lot.
^^^ I would love to see what the HPs do in ballistic gel.
Hopefully my molds will arrive soon.
If you want your HPs to really perform, fill the cavity with something liquid and incompressible. Grease works great in a single shot; use something a bit firmer for revolvers, like bullet lube or paraffin.
This really aids expansion, especially at low velocities.

Any Load Data? Looking to use AA#9 / H 110 or Titegroup for the checked ones
Can I shoot some without the gas check using Trail Boss??
Any data would be great! Thanks!
