I just picked up a 96/44 yesterday and have been pointed over to this thread regarding a good boolit for it. Could someone please explain the RG 2 and RG 4 thing?

I understand from the abbreviations sticky that it is a hollow point system on the bottom of the mold but that is about all it says. Will this interfer with the guide rod on my RCBS bottom pour?

It shouldn't, externally the RG moulds are just about the same as regular moulds, just a little bit of metal on the bottom that holds the pins. In practice I don't find them any different to use, though I use Lee pots, not RCBS.

How much longer do I have to get in on this buy? So many options I'm confused. I'm guessing my 629 6.5" would be best with pb? But what are the rg2 and rg4?

Most assuredly, it will not work with the RCBS guide rod. You can of course twist the guide rod out of the way and hold it under the pot unsupported. I am not fond of this method. Better is to put a block of wood of the right thickness under the pot and then a piece of steel or aluminum sheet on top of that to slide the mold on.

The RG2 and RG4 are two and four-cavity hollow point molds.

Due to circumstances beyond my control (off work with a massive blood clot in leg, from my ankle to my groin)I don't know if I'll be getting paid sick leave,so I have to ask to be taken off this one,I am so sorry, maybe when I'm ok,I can get another one from a small group buy.
I MAY still want to be in the 460132 Postell.

    I am sorry.

Can you shoot a gc without a check? I have a 629 smith that I was thinking about loading this for, but plan to have a .44mag lever gun eventually
