mini14, actually it is right around the same price for their 6 cavity molds. Just seems expensive because we are not used to paying the higher prices on lee's website.

Hmmmm , I kinda like it !
Don't know if I'd cast enough buckshot to make it pay for itself ! But I do like it !

i use one of the sharpshooter #00 buck molds really like, it only problem is the handles get really hot, but man does it make buck shot. the price if im not mistake was less than the lee!
either one would work just fine though !!!

I'm interested but wonder if bk that I cast would be as hard as the stuff I buy from BPI or Midsouth. I've always read that harder pellest make for better roundness and straighter flight/better patterns.
I think it will retail for $5-10 more than the six cavity Pistol molds.
I emailed Factory Sales and they say they'll have them next week, so I intend to order one and try it.
I saw them priced on the Lee web site at $60. I want one but think I'll hold out a bit and get a little better price once they're in the supply chain.
Lets see , at the $60 suggested retail price I can get 15 pounds of Hornady 00 Buck (our dealer price) . Fifteen pounds of buckshot might just last me a good long while in my 10 and 16 gauge guns as I already have a mountain of factory loaded 00 for the 12 gauge .
I kinda want one , but I am having a hard time justifying the price and the amount of time required to cast .

I can't believe someone spotted it before me! I might just buy one. I made my own Buckshot mold, but I had to use standard sized ball endmills, so It's a No. 3 Buck on the bottom (1/4")and 0000Buck on top (3/8"). I couldn't find a way to MAKE a 00 Buck without making a .33 caliber Ball Endmill, and I'm just too lazy to do that. It was a real bitch getting pins long enough to make it fit Lee Mold handles, but then I saw the RCBS style and copied that.

Partisan: What about a 21/64" endmill? If you can buy some for making your molds then you can get the common sizes still and it'll run you about $15 or so a mill. Of course, for not much more you can get the sharpshooter molds direct from the maker which I love, but there is always the satisfaction of homemade equipment.
Ball EndMills tend to be made only 1/16" increments, rarely in 1/32", and not in 1/64" increments. I'm sure somebody makes them, but they're likely prohibitively expensive, perhaps three times as much per tool. My thinking was that by makining it in 3/8", I'd be able to cast round balls for a .36 Caliber C&B revolver, should I ever get one.
If you look on MSC's website for Ball Endmills, you'll see that the pull down menu for "Shank Diameter" doesn't even list any 1/64" sizes, which means if they have them, they're likely special order.

Even standard Metric sizes can get a little pricey. Ball Endmills don't last as long as conventional endmills, especially when you're plunge cutting to make a mold. Since I don't want to sell molds, I really don't have call for a $60 Ball endmill.

About half your $60 estimate ---

Tried a bunch of other small fraction sizes --- so long as you stay in the sizes less then half an inch you come up with hits --- unfortionatly you get into the bigger sizes above half an inch and things start to thin out pretty quick on the smaller incriments
It's up at Factory Sales for $39.98. I'm going to order one to try this week.
Edit price fix

I just ordered one. Been looking for this type of mold for a long time. Wanted a six gang and this is 3 times better.
