Wow those are some top quality molds. I wonder what kind of speeds you can get out of a PB in this little guy.

    Thanks Swede

Oh, BTW how much will the HP boolet weigh?

I know that NOE furnishes a fitted top punch and a sample of sprue plate lube with each mould. Does anyone know if this mould comes with boolit tweezers? LOL

    Swede,
On a more serious note, is there any advantage in ordering one DS10-SB, with GC one side and PB in the other as opposed one 5CSB in each? Are there any problems associated with using one side only of a double sided mould at a time?
    Thanks and regards,
    Tony

I can imagine that the 10 cavity, casting both sides, would probably help with the heat issues often associated with small cavities in big molds.

I was seriously considering the 10 cavity, but decided that a 5 with a HP is gonna do more for me.

Now that I have pondered it a bit I am considering a 10 cavity with one row of gc and one row of pb.
Is there a pic of the ten cavity anywhere? I would like to see one to decide.

This is the only Pic. I have:

    It is a 8 cavity 45 mould.
    Works the same.

I assume there's no multi-cavity HP option on this?

I wonder (out loud) if a 10 cavity could have apposing cavities Hp'd cramer style. Wouldn't that be interesting? You could have 2 HP GC's, 2 HP PB, and then another half dozen boolits, all dropping from one pour.

I loose sleep at night over thoughts like that.

    troy_mclure,
    Please change my order to:
    One-1CSB, GC, HP
One-DS10-SB, GC (one side)/PB (one side)
    Thanks and regards,
    Tony

The 10 cav is interesting. But I don't know if I'm coordinated enough to use it.

I'll go with a 5 cavity GC for now. Let the 10 cav simmer on the back burner for now. Plenty of time to change my mind.

What would set me on a 10 cav is if they could cut the PB cavities shallower so the base band wasn't so wide. The boolit would be lighter but I'd just use them for mouse fart loads so thats good.

I think bearcove's comment about the plain base has considerable merit. Would anyone else care to comment?
