It's scrap.. Per the landowner
Why assume I am just blasting away at someones pipes without permission and how did you conjure up a neighbor?
As close or as far away as I need to be but...

Its either that or the public range where I get nothing.
This isn't property I own so building on it probably isn't an option(dont want to ask). Mostly worried about ricochets.
What is the risk...
Forum: Our Town
No they are just stacked up on the property.
Behind them is a lake about 1000yds long, behind that is woods then ~1 mile to a major road.

Basically have a new place to shoot but the backstop is exposed concrete drain pipes.
If shooting casted 9mm bullets or handgun bullets is there a chance of a ricochet?

I can regularly find lead in the classified sections for around $1 per pound already smelted and in ingot form. I wouldn't pay 50c a pound for scrap that I have to deal with(until I get desperate).
Forum: CB Loads / Military Rifles
Would anyone be willing to part with say 50 bullets casted from this mold? I'd pay/trade for them.
Just want to try my hand before I invest in the mold.

Seems like good work being done here.
Maybe ask him(or if he's still in here) if he ever plans on doing some work with the pro 1000? It's a similar system and his mods may crossover.

Any advice to someone looking to do this for .223 working up a cycling load for an AR15?
Cost effective vs buying FMJ assuming i'd enjoy doing it and not taking time into consideration?
Possible...
You find any guns that dislike the short OAL of the truncated cones?
It seemed like if I ever followed recommended OAL measurements it wouldn't look right with the lube grooves all outside the...

Anyone tried using lead bullets in the lee bullet feeder kit for the loadmaster/pro 1000?
I am willing to invest the little bit of money and time modding mine work right so please dont mention...
My uspsa load is 4.0 grains of bullseye with varying OAL based on the gun but 1.1 is a good start.
I use 50/50 JPW and lee ALOX.

I have never had a good stockpile of lead but I'm working on it. I have a couple sources who said they would sell me a 5 gal bucket of WW for $25 in a couple weeks so I am hopeful of that.
In the...

9mm for shooting competitions. I bought casting equip and a lee turret setup at the same time.
Some free WW and I was off and running.
I still only reload 9mm but I am thinking of broadening...

I'm running 4.0gr of bullseye so I'm not far off.
9.5bhn before casting should harden up nice after water quenching and ageing a couple weeks right?
From what i've read WW are 8-12bhn.

Unfortunately I have huge amounts of bullseye powder and use a light charge to meet power factor for USPSA(~1010fps).
I have about 2lbs of 63/37 tin ingots and a 3lb WW ingot that I could mix in...
Forum: Cast Boolits
I purchased 60lbs of range scrap not knowing it would run a bit softer than WW.
My question is if I water quench and age the lead should it be okay for running a 124gr bullet at about 1050fps?

What do you mean by early lubrisizers?
Cheap and fast
Forum: Casting Equipment
I thought it was called the lubrisizer but now that I think of it that makes no sense because I lube them.
Its just the Lee sizing die.
I dont need to lube them at the same time was just...

I want something faster and automated but on a budget.
I searched around and couldn't find much.
Whats out there(considering I spend $18 on the lee setup[smilie=1:)
Could you post a 124gr TC mold WST/Bullseye/WSF load around 1075fps ? I am trying to gather as much info as I can for 9mm minor uspsa.
As far as the bullet itself I find my lee molds always...
Just as the title says I am trying to work up some 9mm minor loads and most are loaded through a 4in barrel and I have a 3.5". I know there will be a difference I just don't have a clue how...
Love the boolit hate the lack of load data for it
Take a powder like WST that already has limited info and you will be in my position[smilie=s:.
