Some heat resisting self adhesive aluminium tape on one side should increase the bullet diameter by 0.002/003

I load alone without any distractions, my wife knows to stay away while I am at the loading bench.
I always prepare and prime cases before breaking out any powder, I never have loose primers or...

That hasn't been my experience with Lee push through sizers, they have been as hard as heck.
I anneal mine to soften them before opening them up.
I tumble lube with LLA before sizing/gas checking and lube again afterwards and get zero leading.

The only issue between different metals is the heat.
This is normally the issue with aluminium moulds.
The sprue plate is made of steel and takes longer to heat up than the mould itself.
The...

You need to slug your bore. It might have .268 grooves like the carcano.
Carcano's were designed to shoot .266 diameter bullets not .268.

I wear gauntlets to protect forearms as well as hands.

I never used grease with my Remington 1858 too messy!
Instead, I put a card wad over the powder and a fibre wad on top of that before seating the ball.
I cut out the wads from lubed, fibre 12 gauge...

Wrinkled bullets in aluminium moulds are nearly always due to the steel sprue plate being cooler than the mould itself, this cools the alloy as it is poured into the mould.
As John B states, the...

Unless you want a fancy store bought example, have you thought of making your own?
I made my annealer mainly out of stuff I already had lying around, the only components I had to purchase were a...

Check out whether you can source Lovex DO60 powder which is very similar to 5744.

It could be static that is the cause.
I suggest that you wash the hopper out in warm soapy water, dry it off and then run some powder through before throwing charges.

I think it highly unlikely that .323 bullets would work in a bore that is designed to shoot .329 projectiles.
I suggest you slug the bore before deciding on a suitable bullet diameter.
The M95...

I have been casting bullets and smelting ingots for over 50 years, always outside.
I decided to get a blood test last year to check for any lead contamination and the results came back normal....

being a mauser it should handle modern 6.5x55 loads with jacketed bullets?
If you plan to reload, be aware that 6.5 SKAN load data is for modern rifles and should not be used in a M96 Mauser.

I only load one calibre/load at a time, I prepare and prime my brass in batches of 50 beforehand.
I don't trust powder measures to throw consistent charges every time, so check every charge with my...

I still use a Lyman Spartan for push through bullet sizers and case prep with M dies, my main press is a Lee classic cast turret.

Rel 7 is my preferred powder for cast loads, as I find it burns much cleaner than 5744.

It's a lottery to try to match published data with home loads, as there are so may variables to consider.
For instance, different batch of the same powder, different primers, different test barrel,...
I also use aluminium furnace tape for beagling, works just fine.
