I have the 454 Rossi 92 and have not experienced any problems with it feeding 45 Colt rounds.

What is your log diameter? That will drive what the width of your stock board should be. You need to be able to align the grain to run along the wrist of the stock. The blank should be quarter sawn...

The butt stock is fitted and glassed. The tang will required some filing to bring it down to the top of the wrist. I couldn't do much about it, as the wrist just didn't have the girth to accommodate...

I like 8.5 gr. of Herco under a 330 gr. Lee 45/70 boolit sized to .452. It shoots as well as I can hold out of my SRH chambered for 454 Casull.
