They prefer broad leaf plants to grasses. A goat with 8" horn spread can fit through a 4" fence. Other than cactus, they will eat almost anything.

Reminded me of a long ride out of the Scapegoat in 18: deep snow. The horse I was on was young and certainly didn't want to get where he couldn't see the others. Glad to finally see the truck that...

Thanks, Ric. I got a washtub of spawners from Mary Ronan for a couple of years in the 90's. They made great canned fish.
Upsata got a lot of bass transplanted from the Bitterroot area ponds. I...

Spicey mustard with whole seeds, home grown tomato slices and maybe jalapenos. For me I like a vinegar tangy taste rather than anything sweet. A good dog really needs very little and an average one...

I know Nueces casts and he has access to some stuff. Problems arise with cases that are not formed by existing common cases like X57, 06 or 308. In the mid 70's in Argentina, I saw many weapons we...

I was involved with cooking a whole hog over charcoal. On the hook it was 117 lbs. We washed it well, wired it to 3/4" pipe, stuffed it with oranges, lemons and limes and wired the cut back together....

The only other flaked powder with a hole in the center I recall was discontinued before WW2. I don't recall the name but, others commented that Trail boss looked like it.
S&W K frames were know to have some crack, especially near the barrel flat. The commonality was ball powders and 110 and 125 gr jacketed bullets. It didn't seem to be an issue with longer bullets in...
Best for what? If you are a world class PPC shooter trying to gain 3 or 4 points it's different than someone who will shoot 250 rds a year. I liked my HB wadcutter but found it did best with dead...

I am aware of at least one 30 Badger revolver based on a 30 Carbine. Revolvers are now out in 22 Hornet, and have been for over a century in 38-40 and 44-40.
My most valued are a pair of safe queens with minimal turn lines. S&W model 24-3 4" 44 special and a 16-4 32 Mag 6". Most used is a 15-3, 4" 38 special or its brother the 6" 14-1. Most carried is the...

Yep, the 180 fn comes in between 186-191 gr with check and lube.
The barrels are soft enough that many have been hand lapped. I would use a round ball and compound on the patches.

And the shop made money on it. If you can find a one or two man shop who are more concerned with regular work than one big job, you are usually better off.

Straight out of Accurate's data with XMP 2015.
You want dead soft lead and 0.1 gr more than the load that sticks in your barrel. It needs to cut slow not blow past things.
A lot of folks have copied his nose but Veral wanted 5 things IIRC. A wide round flat nose with minimal taper, gas check with room for scraped lube and lead pieces, lube groove sufficient to hold...

It is a lever gun forum. In my old BB94 356 the 180 gr Speer jacketed could be driven at 2700 fps and was deadly on Whitetails. Same with the 358 Browning and 200-225 gr bullets on Elk and Deer. I...

When I dip, I use a dipper large enough to fill all cavities and leave a generous sprue.

I believe that aluminum or zinc are much more likely to spin off. From the size of the weights, they can really put a smack on something.

If you have ever tried to ignite smokeless powder outside of a pressurized case you realize how few times second hand information is useful. Primers not stored correctly are a bomb waiting to happen...

Did a sail fitness class, senior stretching and reaching to prevent slips, trips and falls. One of the drills was to walk 40 feet with each foot stepping over the dog. You will always revert to what...

If your group is 4" at 100 yards that is good enough for deer, even though we all strive for better. I would get a good smokeless load to shoot if you get that 100 yard shot and keep the bp for 50....
